Restaurants and Takeout for Thanksgiving in Portland

This Thanksgiving, Portland Prime offers its standard menu featuring steak and seafood, plus a Chef's Feature with classic Thanksgiving fare: turkey, gravy, and all the sides you can stomach. Be sure to reserve seating ahead of time (online is best) and prepare to be dazzled by the 140-bottle wine list. (Since the restaurant is only two blocks from a MAX stop, you can ride the rails home, sober or not!)

Andina offers top-notch Peruvian fare in the Pearl. This year, its three-course prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner is $55 per person (plus tip). The regular menu isn't available on Thanksgiving, but the day's options are surprisingly extensive for a prix fixe menu--including fantastic seafood if Peruvian turkey isn't your thing. Seatings are available from 1pm to 9:30pm, and live music will be provided. Reserve a spot online.

Book your party of up to 12 for Thanksgiving at the Country Cat, any time from 2pm to 8pm. A four-course meal is available for $45 per person (plus beverages, plus tip). The menu features a special Thanksgiving turkey (it's brined, smoked, then braised), pork chops, plus vegetarian and pescatarian options. Every year, New Seasons offers a complete line of wholesome Thanksgiving goodness--and you can taste it in advance. Check out tastings on Nov. 12 and 13, 11am to 5pm, at all store locations. The menu features Diestel turkey and all the sides (including desserts). New Seasons recently discontinued its home delivery business, however, so this year you'll have to stop by a store to pick up your order.

Huber's specializes in a traditional turkey dinner year-round, so Thanksgiving is no stretch. Established in 1879, this Portland mainstay offers a variety of Thanksgiving take-out options, including a Turkey Package serving 8 to 10. It features a 12-plus pound turkey, sage dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, beer bread, and a pumpkin pie for $125. Grand Central provides all the Thanksgiving bread and baking goodies you can imagine: from U-Bake crusts (make our own pie!) to a festive pumpernickel, it's all good.
