Fantasticabulously quaint!. Moved to Ridgefield recently and were thrilled to find this place today. From start to finish, it was fantastic!! The appetizer of fresh, homemade bread with generous servings of roasted garlic, fresh feta , and greek olives was superb.

The "local" salad was delicately flavored with a lovely balsamic vinagrette, fresh, delicious apples, lots of crumbled blue cheese and cranberries. It was absolutely luscious!!

They had a special of beer battered fish and chips that was outstanding!!!!! It was lightly battered and cooked to perfection, generous portions and homemade tartar sauce.Fish and chips at Burgerville is the same price this was , for twice as much, light years better and very generous portions.

My very picky husband had a carne lovers pizza, fresh made, watched her throw the dough, loaded with goodies. Immeasurably the mest pizza in town

To top it off, we watched them serve generous glasses of great wines and they made lovely handmade cocktails.

To top it off, service was great and they gave us Maple molasses cookies filled with lemon cream........I think we found our new favorite restaurant five minutes from home!!  View Less

Love the food,. We live in Vanc. and will drive up the freeway to have a nice dinner at Pioneer Cafe. They have the best mac and cheese. The glass of wine was a good amount. Love the breads. Small space but big on taste. Really love this little cafe. Sooo good.  View Less View More

A total surprise!. I happened to be in Ridgefield for the Birdfest Weekend, celebrating Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, the migration of the Sandhill Cranes and Bluegrass music. I stumbled into the Pioneer Street Cafe after a day of kayaking, not expecting to find much more than a burger and fries. Boy, what a surprise. An extensive wine by the glass menu, lots of dinner choices, great service after a full day of dealing with hundreds of people there for the festival and really good food. I'll be going back there again to sample their breakfast and lunch menus. Highly recommended, and a great day away from the City.  View Less View More

Fantastic Food. The food at this little gem of a restaurant is really wonderful BUT it closes at 8pm if you're hungry past that time forget it. The desserts are also a real treat and the coffee is decent. Go early if you want to get in.  View Less View More

Birdfest Breakfast Bonus. Shmackyrelish and i went here over Birdfest weekend, and it was really good, even with ridgefield being so packed with people. it was crowded, but not uncomfortable. it's a cozy restaurant, with only about 15 tables, and on the day we went, they had live entertainment in the form of uncle yascha. he was a fun addition to the ambience. i had the ridgefield omelet, which was excellent, and a biscuit, which was obviously home made..but not quite cooked. i attributed this to the crowded conditions, and i think on another day, the biscuit might have been one of the highlights of my meal. i also got breakfast potatoes, which were yummy but not crispy enough for me. shmack had the pioneer JLT, which was made with spanish ham, lettuce, and tomato. she enjoyed it, but found the meat portion skimpy.  View Less View More
