We take out of town guests there often. Sometimes there is a wait on weekends, but always worth it. None of our family has ever had the pizza, so I can't review the pizza.
NO food for your money, CHEAP restaurant high prices. I will not be going back to Little Italy's ever again! It was freezing in the restaurant and when I asked the waitress if they could turn down the air they did not. I order a margarita pizza and it had NO cheese. Two out of the six slices literally had no cheese and the pieces that did have cheese had hardly any. I ate mouthfuls of sauce. I was not full after this so I ordered what I can only assume is an appetizer fit for a bird. The Ravoli Fritter with set you back $6.69 and includes six peas size raviolis and a small side of marinara. That's a about a dollar a ravoli I could buy a dollar cheeseburger and feel more satisfied. Needless to say I did not leave with a full tummy. Worst value for your money in Vancouver.
Wow - and not in a good way....
If I could use just one sentence to sum up the Little Italy experiences I've had at a few of their stores it would be;
The Dirty, Over-cooked (crunchy pizza??? really???), Over-priced, very bad customer service, and long wait time (even when no one is in front of you) restaurant that you don't need to experience to appreciate.
Highly Recommended, For Both Dinner Out And Catering.
We have been dining at Little Italys for years and have always been very pleased with the Food and Service, it's great to know there is still aplace that cares about the customer and not just the dollar, the abiance, food and general atmosphere is outstanding, we have also hired them twice over the past 2 years to Cater events for us and just like in the restaraunt everything went great without any problems and all of our guest were thrilled with the food and servers.
Great Prices, Great Food, Great Service.
Great Food again and again.
If your looking for good authentic Italian food then this is the place, As with any establishment they may have an off day, but we have eaten there for many years and I must say ot of all the restaraunts we have frequented we have never been unhappy at Little Italys, We did have a wait at the door a couple times on a Friday or Saturday night but thats to be expected I guess once these well kept city secrets gets out. And even on the busiest of nights we still seem to get great service (even if there is a bit of a wait at times) and the one time we were not happy with a dish the manager came to our table and took care of it personally.
I highly recommend them, and if there is a wait at the door all I can say is there must be a reason people will wait that long for a table - It's worth it!
Try the pizza. I've been to Little Italy's a couple times and it's a nice restaurant. I got a good vegetarian pizza. The people I was with both liked the pasta they got. Would like to see more vegan items on the menu.
Thats Amore. We had banquet party of 30 people at little italy, and it was fantastic!! We had the chicken parmigiana and the linguini with shrimp, and they were both fantastic . Everyone in our group loved it . The flavors were just right the shrimp melted in your mouth. Other people in our group are booking their parties here . My husband and I go on a regular basis, and it is always great !!!
Italian?.
How Trattoria obtained a 10 rating in Citysearch is beyond comprehension. If you considered a Spaghetti Factory as fine Italian dining, Trattoria is compaired to a McDonalds. However in all fairness, McDonalds admitted their customer service needed improvement.
I'm sorry but Lean Cuisine Pasta dish has more flavor than the so called "chicken" Cacciatore. Almost all the chicken dishes are fried and I'm not sure how long they cook the their shrimp to give it that "tire" texture.
If you love northern Italian dishes, do yourself a favor and go to Beaches. At least Beaches knows customer service and how to cook pasta!
