Was expecting a lot more after all the
hype about the crust. I found the crust leathery, grainy, and way too chewy. It wicked moisture out of my mouth and left a chalky sensation. We tried the Greek (salty and one-dimensional), the cheese (OK, but greasy) and pepperoni (same as the cheese). The sauce is pretty good, but nothing to wax poetic about, and the cheese was just your average pizzeria stuff. A few of us found ourselves stripping the cheese off and eating it so we didn't have to deal with the crust.
Overall, a resounding "MEH."
Best Pizza from ATL to Vancouver.
Was in town for a couple of days working out of Vancouver and a co-worker mentioned some good pizza he had from Blind Onion. We ordered four pies and OMG. Some of the best pizza that I have ever eaten. Not a stuffed Chicago Pizza and not a NY Style thin but something like a traditional hand-tossed crust. The toppings were fresh and covered the pies to the wonderful edges of crust. I would love to see a Blind Onion in Atlanta.
Will definitely order pies from them each trip to Vancouver. Great pizza!
Great Za!. Stumbled on this place, great Pizza, best I've found in Portland Vancouver Area.
Good Pizza But...... Pizza was Great! but there was only a 2 beer limit? kinda of lame....... Dont call it a pub. with a 2 beer limit.... other than that it was great.
The new location is great too!. We went to the new location tonight, it's on hwy 99 just north of Walmart and the movie theater. It was very good. Good beers on tap and great pizza. The service was good. We'll be back often.
Good Pizza. I went to the onion service was on par.Prices were a little high but what a great place to take all my upper end pizza lover friends.
DELICIOUS, always worth it.
Awesomeness reincarnated in the form of a pizza. Such deliciousness could be illegal in some states.
I would not recommend trying to eat in this location on a busy night, because seating is limited and the place gets PACKED. I would, however, recommend ordering one of these to go on any night.
On one occasion, when we ordered and paid at the counter, the cashier girl pointedly rotated the "TIPS" jar to face us. (As though she had done anything to earn a tip.) And then they burned our pizza and we had to wait for them to make a new one. But once that slice finally reached my mouth, all sins were forgiven because this pizza is - you got it - DELICIOUS.
Best Pizza in Vancouver.
I absolutely REFUSE to get pizza from anywhere but Blind Onion... and I live near Brush Prairie, so it's a drive... but so worth it!!
The Blind Hawaiian is what does it for me. Everything is fresh and when you put honey on their crust, oh wow, to die for.
High quality crust and cheese.. The crust and cheese are among the best I've had on a pizza. However, the topping are only Papa Murphy's quality. If I didn't live so far away I'd buy a cheese pizza from them and sautee my own topping at home. I know this is Portland city search, but if you're ever in Lacey, WA, there's a place called "The Rock," just off exit 109. Order the "Bad To The Bone" pizza. Compared to that I would give Blind Onion only 2 stars, but compared to other pizzas I've tried in Portland it's a solid 4.
Love this Place!!. Great Pizza & Great Beer = Great Place. The Blind Onion never fails me!! This is a great neighborhood spot with good food and good atmosphere. I really like the picnic tables and the beer garden out back in the warmer weather.
