My favorite place to go for breakfast! Biscuits and gravy are delicious. Portions are huge so you can easily share with someone. The staff is friendly and you get your food quickly!

Carol's is legendary. Carol's is practically a Vancouver legend, especially for their breakfasts, but lunch and dinner (on the nights they stay open for dinner) are good too, especially the prime rib and chicken fried steak.

If you want breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning, be prepared for a long line of hungry people. This is a diner style place, but the food is great and the portions are inhumanely large! Count on taking some home or splitting a meal.

Delicious!. Okay, so this may look like a dump. BUT give it a chance, the food is awesome, the portions are the biggest I have ever seen. I have never finished a full meal here whether it's breakfast or lunch. Great service too, the staff seem really happy to be there. The wait on weekends can be long, but as with all great restaurants it's worth it.

When it's good...it's great!. A word of warning;

Do NOT be tempted to try the prime rib special on Saturday nights...the most incredibly inedible hunk of shoe leather you've ever tried to cut with your knife (yes, I said, "tried to cut"!) and it costs as much as The Outback or Saylor's Country Kitchen!

That's the bad.

EVERYTHING else is wonderful!

Best burgers I've had in years and while I'm not much of a breakfast person their breakfast food is the best quality I've ever had in any restaurant anywhere.

As long as you stick to the usual menu items that they have every day and stay away from the "specials" you'll be very happy.

You'll hear people rave about the sizes of the portions but don't let that fool you: This place put's quality first.

Just stay away from the prime rib.

HUGE omelettes!. I stopped in here one morning after work to check it out. It seems like a popular place with alot of regular customers. I ordered a half order of one of the omelettes and OH MY! I never knew a three egg omelette could be so huge, and that's on top of the pile of hash browns and toast. I ate until I thought I'd suffocate. I'll probably do it again too, but at least I'll be prepared next time. Just an FYI, the bacon in the omelette was the consistency of beef jerky, so if you don't want to wear out your jaw, avoid the bacon. All in all, I would recommend this place for a good, filling meal.

Great American Food!. My family loves Carols! The staff is great, some of the best in all of the Portland area. The location is a old gas station or something. Carols is the type of place that all the "locals" frequent. Try the omelets. The eggs are cooked paper thin, then all kinds of high quality ingredients are rolled up, with a mass of awesome potatoes, and toast. Not the usual blubbery, hard omelet. Great with a sweet roll or hot chocolate. They also offer lunch and dinner, however we always order breakfast.

Go hungry, bring your friends and neighbors, order the 1/2 orders, and wear comfortable clothes. Very reasonably priced. We take all of our out-of-state visitors to Carols and just wait for the "WOW" when the food comes!

You will not be disappointed!

BIG Whomping Breakfast!. Being a Southern girl, I'm fond of the Big Southern Breakfast. Carol's Corner satisfied my urge--and then some. The plates are ENORMOUS, filled to the brim with good ole breakfast fare. If you're feeling really brave, try the Works, which has enough food for even the heartiest appetites. The friendly staff makes you feel at home, even if it's your first visit. It gets crowded on weekend mornings, though, so be prepared to wait a few minutes (it's never long) to eat yourself silly. A truly great restaurant!
