Nice little store with just about everything.
The Washougal River Mercantile (or affectionatly called 'The Merc' by the locals) is a lovely little minute mart/gunsmith store/tackle n' bait/grocery store/ and whatever else you can think of all
rolled into one.
It is a 'mom and pop' store that is usually ran by the owners' children and/or grandchildren. The workers there are nice, and very warm to everyone.
The Merc is located 10 miles up the Washougal River Road, and is on the big (not the small) Washougal River. And due to this location, it is a very nice spot right inbetween the City of Washougal, and the ever so popular Dougan Falls. And on top of that, it is right down the road from the local Washougal MX Park.
Well worth going up to see this store, if you are ever in the area.…
