At least we were warned!.
I think if I would have seen this movie when it first came out I would have been horribly disappointed, and probably a little angry. I
waited for reviews, and read an interview with M. Night - he said he and the actors knew they were making a "B" movie and they wanted to make the best "B" movie they could. Some of these are fine actors; they knew exactly what they were doing. I felt their acting was deliberately strained, or over dramatic. I went into the movie with this information and managed to enjoy it. The concept is frightening, the acting is frightening, but it was liking coming home to an M. Night devoted fan like myself. It just FELT like an M. Night movie. WARNING - the movie starts and moves at a lightning pace. Sadly, by the time you are 2/3 the way through the film it had shot its entire load.
I'm a die hard M. Night fan and a glutton for punishment - I'd see this movie again, but my husband would not come with me. I don't know if I will ever get him to go to another MNS movie.

Refreshing change.
Having grown up in Milwaukie, I grew attached to the old charm of Saturdays at the Cinema V, as this theatre was formerly known. The
melted Milk Duds, worn seats and one big screen were a part of many lives in this area, and I was sorry to see it go. However, in its place is a very classily-run theatre that is clean, comfortable, modern, and shows quality first-run films for less than the majors. Parking can be a problem, but worth the effort.
