bad seats and in need of quicker service. I was disappointed that this theatre did not have stadium seating. The seats were not designed to take in a 3 1/2 hour movie. This theatre should know it's limits and not show Lord of the Rings. In addition, the server behind the snack bar operated in slow motion. When arriving at show-time, you would like to see the server moving quickly. And, there was only one person! If that wasn't bad enough, when it was time to pay for the snacks, I was told "cash only"! What business still operates on a cash only basis in this milenium???
GREAT MOVIE SETTING. The downtown location is a nice place to go on Christmas and watch movies. It was interesting to see no cars on Broadway and see SW Portland as a ghost town. The movies are good here when parking is available. I would definitely go here again.
Urbn Chic. Best use of urban space in Portland! How cool is it to head to the basement of a downtown building and find a cinemaplex instead parking and HVAC units? While not one of the ultra-expensive stadium setups, this place still has giant screens and a great sound system. You won't have to feel like you're paying $9 to watch a big-screen TV. Take a movie in here between dining and shopping, and make an evening of downtown the way it ought to be: minimal driving. Go around Christmas, and it is the perfect end to a day of shopping!
