In Short – Well-dressed latte-sipping couples mix with groups of attractive singles. People-watching on this street is prime--grab a seat at one of the numerous coffee shops. At night, the street is alive with folks heading for the many bars and restaurants nearby. Since the streets here are in alphabetical order (Burnside, Couch, Davis, Everett), it's easy to find your way around. You'll find larger chain stores closer to Burnside and more eclectic wares down the alphabet.

Ive been travelling to 23rd for fun for a long time. Because of the great area I drive 45 minutes to get my hair done in the area, window shop, browse for books, eat delicious foods, and meet funky people, all in a very nice area. Cant get better than NW 23rd!
- Pros: Food, Ziva Salon, Pavda salon, Pro Photo, lots of fabulous little stores
- Cons: Parking. But just plan on walking a couple blocks and its no biggie

I had such a great time on a recent visit to Portland. I had not visited NW 23rd before, and what a treat. I shopped, dined, and even got the best haircut I ever had! This place is fun, and I will come back for more!
- Pros: Stores, Dosha, JoBar
- Cons: Parking, Wish it was in Corval
