Food artisans provide goodies for farm-to-table eats..
The granddaddy of Portland’s farmer’s market scene, this bustling market sprouts up in the South Park Blocks every Saturday from March through December. Just after the morning market bell tolls, foodies, chefs, and young urban families crowd into the sidewalk aisles. Shoppers browse booths teeming with fresh, seasonal produce and artisan goods like pate, olive oil, and cookies and cakes to take home. In the center of the market, outdoor food court vendors serve up hot coffee, tamales, and breakfast sandwiches to fuel the shopping experience.
