In Short – The '50s kitsch theme takes center stage in the huge dining room, where young and old sit in sparkly vinyl booths. Dinner options include meat loaf, burgers and country-fried steak. The dark lounge in the next room is brimming with novice 20-somethings filling themselves with fishbowl drinks and one of 48 martinis. Hearty breakfast items like the Country Benedict--scrambled eggs and sausage gravy on house-made biscuits--can undo the previous night's damage excellently.

this place is a nuisance to my neighborhood

by VeggieGirl98

There are numerous fights and screaming/yelling drunk fools out in the wee hours of the night. I have seen various people coming and going out of the back door... this place gives me the creeps. Inside it's dark and seedy - which is good on some occasions - but I think this place has outworn its welcome. I have seen so many fights out of my apartment windows, I have seen so many drunk drivers pulling out of the parking lot - last night I saw many police cars, a fire truck, and an ambulance pulling someone away on a stretcher. I'll say it again, this place is a nuisance to my neighborhood. I don't suggest going there unless you want to get into some kind of trouble.

Sticky & Unpleasant

by CriticUltimo

Broken seats, slap-dash service, and an atmosphere that reminds one of the date-rape basement of a frat house does not put the Gypsy in high regard for this critic. The once pleasantly seed Gypsy Joker biker bar circa 1978, has become a ghost of its former glory. Gone is any flavor of authenticity. Replaced by sloppiness and yuppies playing pool. I don't mind gentrification when it lead to quality, but the Gypsy's transformation had led nowhere.

  • Pros: Convenient
  • Cons: Too many to name.

Staff is great, clientele are wastes of space

by critic777

Had such a unique experience with three men outside at closing time. I was waiting for a ride and had a conversation with one in particular who was hell bent on finding out my opinion regarding who was "my type" between the three of them. Once I made it clear that none of the douches were my type, I had the pleasure to hear the profound opinion of the biggest piece of ****. Apparently was a **** tease and my ***** was "smelly". I walked away quickly feeling sufficiently threatened not to mention completely disgusted for the mere fact these morons exist. Beware of these *****. They prove date **** is alive and kicking.
