Tips for Laughing Planet Cafe

Hello Laughing Planet. we like the fun menu and burros. i would much rather not have to bus my own table into a garbage surrounded by huge black flys though.

Good food typical bad portland service. New to the area we stopped in for lunch based on reviews on here. Food was good, healthy, and filling. The only downside rude service. If I order a burrito minus something I don't need the staff to ask me why I don't want that ingredient. I don't want and really it's rude to even ask. If they share tips here the counter people are screwing the cooks over by rude service cause we usually tip well. Might try it again someday to see if it improves.

good and quick. The Laughing Planet has nice full burritos. Good salsa as well that they let you get as much as you like to drown your burro in.

The only downside . You've got to bus your own table and that's not the issue. It's the flies and nastyness in the garbage trolley where you take your empty plate to. I enjoyed my meal, the plastic dinosaurs looking at me scarf down my veggie burro and then while we cleaned up our table trekking over to the recycle station the nasty mess was just a stench. I still will go back to Laughing PLanet but only decide to eat in if it looks a little more tidy and less messy.

great place for yummy vegan food. My favorite menu item is the Che Guevara burrito that includes brown rice, black beans, plantains, sweet potatoes and spicy bbq sauce and pico de gallo. I most always get this and it never disappoints. For a drink I enjoy the yummy PB&J smoothie that includes strawberries, bananas, organic peanut butter and apple juice. And for desert I usually get a cookie or bar to go from one of the many vegan pastries. I have taken several friends here and they all enjoy it! There are tons of vegan options and they are located on the menu with a 'v' next to it.

Great food, great service, great hangout. This is a great neighborhood place. The food is inexpensive, healthy, and always good. The people who work there are consistently friendly. I live in the neighborhood and have been to L. Planet dozens of times and have never had bad food.

thank you!!!. for opening a location on the SW side. We just moved from SE to SW and good food over here is almost non-existent (open to suggestions). The Belmont Laughing Planet was one of our regular stops as it is kid-friendly, vegetarian friendly, a great cheap eat, and super tasty. Happy to see that it is now in SW Portland by Gabriel Park where we will be regular customers. Hopefully other good local cafes and restaurants will follow.

Tasteless. Some friends and I stumbled into this place on Belmont in the early afternoon. It was not busy and we sat down at the counter...stared at the people behind the counter...they stared back, not a hello, not a word about how we needed to walk five feet feet to the cash register to order...okay, maybe we are stupid, but you could at least let us know how things work!

We all ordered burritos...they all liked theirs, needless to say I did not like mine. I ordered the grilled chicken. They tried mine and agreed that it had no taste, was bland, and was "terrible". (Not my words).

Good eats. My dinner was tasty. A lil over priced for what I got, but I'm willing to pay a lil extra to support local business.

Kinda grossed out by someone touching their nasty dreadlocks, then poring my beverage or making my food without washing their hands. The place could be kept a little cleaner, and I would frequent more.

Delicous and healthy grub at an affordable price. I have been happy customer of Laughing Planet for several years and I usually pay them a weekly visit for lunch or dinner. I recently pleased to learn that Laughing Planet uses many sustainable practices to ensure they are taking care of our planet. On their website it says they use a central location to prp all of their food and get that food from location to location with bio diesel fueled vehicles. They do their best to fill their burritos and bowls with locally grown ingredients including antibiotic free chicken from Washington state. The best thing is they compost all of their leftovers and recycle their waste! All of this and their food is scrumptious. I am a big fan of the Che Guevara burrito. Thanks Laughing Planet for taking care of our Planet and providing us with great food!

Horrible atmosphere. If you can get pst the horrible way they treat their employees, ie. yelling at them in front of customers, then try to get past the soggy bowls I will never eat here again.
