Editorial Review for Bungalow 8 – by Dustin Smith

The Scene
The only amenity Amy Sacco's hospitality-themed lounge doesn't offer is a mint on the pillow. But with so many luxuries to sample, who has time for sleep? Banquette-side minibars, arrangement of helipad pickups (for real) and on-site hairstyling are but a few of the perks this mini-resort provides the globe-trotting runway star. Feel like roughing it? If so, you can opt for a simple order of Tsar Imperial osetra caviar (competitively priced at $1,200).

The Draw
Though designed to attract decadent jet-setters, Bungalow 8 will suffice for those who merely seek good drinks and lively snacks in a stylish lair. The fruity champagne cocktails are especially tasty, and playfully echo the space's looming potted palms and airy poolside photomurals. Bolstering the light menu's snazzier fare is a decidedly plebian pleasure: Summon your waitress, and she'll order Chinese takeout or a pie from Domino's.

If you can get passed the doorman your experience here will be great. If you are ready to spend $350 or so on a $25 bottle of gray goose, then this is where you need to be. Be prepared to dress to the nine because you may run into a celebrity or two!!

I went here for the first time two weeks ago because a friend had a connection. This place is really cool, small, not crowded, very different scene from the other clubs in the area. The crowd is different too, hipsters, Euros, no ibankers that's for sure, didn't see any celebs. The inside is like a safari with palm trees and black and white pokadot seats. Good dancing, doesn't pick up until 2am. If you can get in, I would recommend checking this place out.

Pros: Feels like you're in exotic jungle, not crowded

Cons: Hard to get in
