Surly Servers make Service Stink!. I have to agree with the previous member, that the employees of this establishment seem to be too good for their jobs- CUSTOMER SERVICE! Without me, and other customers, YOU wouldn't have a place to collect your paychecks- so don't give us attitude. Starbucks, although less than stellar coffee, HAS learned that giving your guest a smile and pleasant chatter is the way to win their hearts.... that is called customer service! So please, management, coach your people on how to be agreeable and be service oriented, because I love your coffee but HATE your staff.

I am not a window!. How hard is it to smile at your customers? This has to be one the most unfriendly coffee house staffs that I have encountered yet. My girlfriend were happy to move 1 block away from World Cup, a highly rated coffee house. That was until we noticed that every time we went in to get a coffee whoever was at the counter (it didn't really seem to matter who) would barely acknowledge us standing right in front of them as they grabbed our cash with their grubby little espresso stained hands. Come on people, I'll admit that your coffee tastes pretty good, but your not changing the world so don't act like its such a stinking privilege to step foot in the door.

great value and coffee. Great atmosphere, coffee and price. Ask for a discount

card, where they stamp it everytime you purchase a

cup of coffee. This will give you a 10 percent discount.

If you bring your own cup they will stamp it twice! for

a 20 percent discount. With that and the fact the first

refill is free, they are practically giving this liquid away.

To top it off, the coffee and atmosphere is great.

World Cup Is World Class. Everything about this wonderful NW coffeehouse is world class: superb coffees and teas, to-die-for housemade sandwiches and wraps, delectable breakfast pastries and desserts, sleek and comfortable decor, and the best staff of baristas I've ever encountered. Four mornings a week, on my way to work nearby, I look forward to starting my day here. As often as not, my regular coffee order awaits me as I step up to the counter and deliberate over the mouth-watering muffins, croissants and brioches. And I'm always greeted with genuine warmth and good humor. A perfect way to start or end the day!

One of the best in PDX!. I have gotten coffee here many times and have always loved the funny, personable staff and the atmosphere. World Cup would be the second choice as far as coffee is concerned, I usually have to tell them to be light on the chocolate in my mochas. I like to taste the coffee more than the chocolate, thanks! I have met many a great friend here, and the art that they have on the walls are, for the most part, really great, and usually by local artists.
