The Scene
While its John's Landing location might not be the first pick for travelers hoping to get a taste of Portland culture, the riverside setting of this luxury boutique hotel sets the stage for a relaxing getaway that's hard to find in downtown. The ultramodern lobby gives visitors a hint of the sophistication awaiting in the rooms. Specially commissioned artwork, vintage velvet sofas and a glowing fireplace make for a warm welcome.
The Details
Rooms are designed with ultimate style and comfort in mind, combining neutral tones with Asian flair. The luxury extends to the bathrooms, which feature marble tubs and sweet-smelling bath products. Most rooms offer balcony access, with majestic views of Mount Hood and the Willamette River. Downstairs, there's a full-service spa and fitness club. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and in-room dining is available from Rivers restaurant, a few steps away.

I came into the spa with a girlfriend of mine and was blown away by the fact that I didn't even know this place was here. I recieved the best facial I have ever had from Aracili who really took the time to give my older skin what it needed and well as give me easy recomendations of what I could do at home. My massage was more relaxing than I could imagine and even when my services were done, they let me relax in the ladies lounge area for as long as I wanted. Amazing experience and everyone made me feel like I owned the place. I will definitely be back.
Pros: The whole place. The tip is even included in the prices.
Cons: Parking was confusing.

Gorgeous views, free valet, the best massage I've ever had, the best facial I've ever had, and an enormous exercise facility! What more could a girl ask for?
Pros: Location, Massage Therapists, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Classes
Cons: That I can't live here!
