huge disappointment. Our kids used to have so much fun at kruger's. not anymore! unless you are a friend of the family....wow, they were really rude. farmer don was intoxicated when i took my kid to a party there. he had his own party going. don and his friends treated us like we were interfering even though the birthday kid had plans with kruger's to be there. all the parents were shocked at how rude the family friends were to our kids and to us parents. i would not recommend going to Kruger's. go to one of the friendly places you pass on the way.
Not up to par. I would not recommend visiting Kruger's there are much better locations on Sauvie Island, especially for Halloween.
We had our daughter's 3 year birthday at Krugers and it was so awesome! Every parent at the party asked how we thought about it and wanted the info. Mr. Kruger himself kindly accepted our invitation and joined us for lunch and is an amazing man. ;-) We loved the hayride out to the berry field and the shady area under the trees. We'll be back, for sure!!!
(fight the good fight Kruger's!!!!!!!)
Joke of a corn maze, RUDE owner. I would not recommend Krugers to anyone. The owner of this place was completely rude to me when I talked to him about his poor quality food and sanitation. The strawberries were moldy on the shelf and place was dirty. I asked him if they had more fresh produce in the cooler or in the back. He looked at me like I was crazy and said that if I didn't like it go somewhere else. The food that they sell sometimes LOOKS good but it tastes like it is purchased from out of state (CA, Mexico, Brazi, etc...) I would save the time by just going to a grochery store. I have been going to farmers markets on Sauvie Island for 10 years now with my family and I will continue to go to other farms on the island. I found out from an employee there that Krugers is reletively new. It is leased from the old owners and they should take it back from him. This farm looks like someone is trying too hard to make money at the added expense of consumers. It fails miserably in providing quality produce, family fun, fair prices, and service. Their Corn maze is also terrible with no scary characters and a poor design.
Great! Great! Great!. I'm not sure where the other reviewer was, but it wasn't at Kruger's Farm. I know they have a Corn Maze, but it's never crowded. There's another big corn maze on Sauvie Island, so maybe that's where they were. Anyway, what I love about Kruger's is that they've avoided the carnival atmosphere you'll find at other farms (no hoppity houses or hokey country schlock) and have focused on farming and the farm experience. I love to go out there and u-pick berries and just spend the day at this beautiful farm. My kids love the to feed the chickens and see just where there food comes from. In short, it's wonderful!
horrible, horrible, and horrible.. This was horrible. It was so horrible that I was angry that I spent the time, money, and energy to go through it. We went to the "haunted" cornmaze...which was laughable. 1st: The wait is absolutely ridiculous. The line looped around, probably 100+ people deep, even at 10pm. 2nd: The cornmaze itself is a poorly designed one. It look us less than 20 mins to go though. We waited 45mins in line to spend $16 for a 20 minute walk through a corn field. 3rd: The extra $2 for the "haunted" cornmaze is a rip. They probably had MAYBE 8 "scary" people in the entire cornmaze, ON OPENING NIGHT. My boyfriend and I didn't even get startled. This cornmaze is an absolute waste. It's horrible. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
Local produce farm attracts chefs, families and tourists. Annual pumpkin patch and corn maze are annual fall favorites..
Most people flock here for the seasonal produce, harvested each morning and sold in on-site markets. Farmers turn out conventionally and organically grown gems like heirloom tomatoes, summer berries and jumbo cucumbers, famously made in to Kruger's pickles. In the fall, the crops are turned in to edible gifts; the corn fields are converted to a maze for children and families to rustle through; and the pumpkin patch is a must-see pre-Halloween attraction.
