what color syrup on your meat?. Godawful. Why? They've changed. Oh, boy have they changed from what they used to be. They fry all the meat with the same nasty breading, and cover everything with a different colored, different flavored syrup. Oh, and they add pineapples to the sweet and sour syrup. Garbage. Without the syrup sauce, (gag) all the meat would be the same, unevenly cooked, unflavored, dry fat-balls. Nasty. This is typical American Chinese at it's worst. Do yourself a favor and go to either Wongs King, or Jin Wah. They are actually authentic and not any more expensive.
Beware!!!. I used to eat at this place a couple of years ago. Today I ordered takeout for lunch. When I finished the leftovers later this evening I found a long Asian hair in my food. Gross!! Guess I won't be eating there again!!
The Worst Ever. This was my first time going to this restaurant - read the reviews first all where good - I order General Tso chicken - the chicken was VERY tough - the sauce was so mild - I had to add my own hot sauce to spice it up - Safeway's is far better than this restaurant - you know it must be bad - if I compared it to Safeway's Chinese deli - want give up until I found a restaurant with the best Szechuan food ever
My Favorite Place For Chinese. This is the only place I'll have Chinese food for lunch or get take-out. Never had any problem and love their food. It's a small out of the way restaurant. A heck of a lot better than the large buffet style restaurants. LOVE their hot & sour soup!
Difficulties with delivery.
I called this place based on the reviews on citysearch and it seemed like I was talking to a wall. The lady kept saying that my location was 15 miles away and they only delivered within a 4 mile radius. I verified my address and their address, and double checked citysearch maps which said I was 3.6 mi away. She got the manager on the phone, he said they could only deliver within a 4 mile radius, I explained in clear detail where I was located, but apparently he did not want my business.
Too bad, but luckily there are other Chinese restaurants out there who deliver, such as Happy Panda.
Great food, Huge portions. We always order take out from Szechuan House because of their fast service. They have the best Wonton Soup filled with shrimp, beef and chicken. Their seafood dishes are also tasty. They have a huge variety of dishes with chicken and beef as well. My favorites would be Mongolian Beef and Happy Family, a combo of scallops, shrimp, beef and chicken. Definately worth a try for take out one night. Prices are pretty fair too. We can feed 4 people with leftovers for under $30. The best part is food is made fresh, so we can ask them to adjust flavors to our tastes like saying 'no salt' and how spicy it is.
The best in town. The food is delicious and it's very fresh. The portion is huge. I have to take some of it for lunch for the next day. The prices are pretty reasonable. They can adjust your spicy level. I would say their spicy food will be between mild and middle spicy because sometimes the kids might need to eat too! They have lots of good chicken, beef and seafood dishes. I would highly recommend to this restaurant.
A local hidden treasue. Great Food ands lots of it! Lunches are the best value. You are made to feel like family by staff.
Not the Best. This is a great place to get Hot and Sour soup. It is by far the best that I have ever had. However, if it is spicy food you are looking for, keep looking. The General Tso's chicken is so mild that my 1-year-old could eat it. Last night I tried the Mandarin Beef, again not spicy at all. Most of the chicken dishes are deep fried, as are many of the beef ones.
A favorite among many of my friends.
I've been a regular at this place for more than 5 years. I take many friends there and it has always been a hit.
Jimmy, the owner, is a great host who remembers that I prefer to use chopsticks over a fork. I love their sesame chicken but often choose the healthier (non-breaded) string bean dish. The string bean combo has lots of flavor and they also have a season asparagus combo that Jimmy lets me know when I walk if it's available.
Their hot n' sour soup is THE BEST and my friends and I have tried MANY restaurants.
I have even had times when I could not decide what I wanted and I left it in Jimmy's hands to come up with a dish for me - each time its been a winner!
I've also enjoyed watching his kids grow over the years and see them helping Dad out around the business.
