In Short – With classes ranging from 24 Hour Tease, a sexy strip aerobic class, to the more subdued Vinyasa flow yoga and butt-kickin' boot camp, this active sports club is packed with health conscious (and some insomniac) gym goers. Stocked with the latest cardio and weight-training equipment, this gym cranks up the pumping music, flicks on the Plasma TV sets, and lets fitness fanatics work out according to their own schedule. With affordable rates and a friendly, knowledgeable staff, personal training is another tangible get-fit option. And while the moniker is somewhat misleading, on…
GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!! GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

This club is so dirty. The pool was murky and appeared slimy- would not have gone in. Hot tub water was green, steam room and sauna smelled like urine. Showers are gross. Equipment is out dated. Feel like catching a bacterial infection or swimming in a swamp? Then go to this 24.
- Pros: none but staff are friendly
Not as bad as it's made to be...

I go to this gym on my way home from work. You get what you pay for. As a former member of The Riverplace Athletic Club in downtown, I have seen expensive clubs, and with 24 I have seen the other end. Yes the RAC was cleaner and had their own towels, but I had to pay OVER $90 for ONE PERSON for that privilege. This gym isn't too busy after work, the machines are fine and none were broken and the bathrooms didn't smell nasty. Sure the people working out aren't of the same caliber as the RAC (apparently Trailblazers work out there, I never saw one), but I didn't feel like I had to worry about my safety and everyone left everyone alone and worked out. And the people were nice and the front desk girl actually said bye to me as I left and had a conversation with me when I arrived. Points off for people not cleaning their machines after using, but that's their fault, not the gym's.
- Pros: Good layout, wasn't a pizza oven, less crowded than downtown or Clackamas 24's, not the typical 24 meat market
- Cons: Mall 205 is depressing if you walk through that entrance
Modern Gym, Plenty of Options, Fun To Use
by KeeganSmiles
Though the gym in nw Portland is especially nice, the gym located on fourth avenue is also a great place to work out in in between work hours. Located directly in the urban center, plenty of executives and the like use it at non-standard times, allowing for less crowding during preference hours.
The tanning beds work great, the sports apparel store always has what you need as far as protein drinks and equipment, and the trainers and staff are pumped to get you on one good program or another.
Great quality gym for the buck, many specials apply for monthly rates!
- Pros: Plenty of workout equipment, full staffed, fully loaded, modern and clean, cheap
- Cons: Sometimes out of the way during Rush hour
