My and my boyfriend used to frequent this place a lot; decent sushi save for a few "blow outs" (when the sushi falls apart). The service is usually spotty, ranging from good to slow and the prices have been reasonable. The last time we went was the worst and last experience we'll have there. We hate sitting at the small tables because there is never enough room, but the waiter was a total dick, wouldn't sit us at a four person table, even though there were plenty open by the time we came and went. The worst part was that they have raised their prices! On everything, by a dollar! It doesn't seem like a lot but when you order four rolls and an appetizer, it can get really expensive! We'll now be on the hunt for a better sushi place, its just not worth coming here anymore.

If you are looking for Japanese food, eat elsewhere.. What a great location to walk to a neighborhood restaurant. If you are expecting to eat Japanese food you won't find it here.

Having been brought up eating traditional Japanese food this stuff doesn't even come close. It's great for those not familiar with the nuances and flavorings of Japanese food.

I rate it a 1/10th of a start.

Best Sushi in Town. I love this place. The sushi is great and affordable. Please try the maguro (tuna), it's the freshest in town. I've tried other places and can't compare. My wife had udon and it was authentic. Try it, you'll love it. If you love sushi, then you'll love Mio Sushi.

Excellent and consistent lunch spot. My office orders sushi from Mio about once a week. Our order is ALWAYS correct, the sushi is fresh, delicious and the rolls are prepared consistently every time. Occasionally, they have added new, free items for us to try. We appreciate that Mio's sushi is seafood-focused, they don't add alot of weird mayo-based sauces to compensate for poorly packed rolls. Mio's sashimi is thick and proportional to the rice underneath, again they highlight the fish instead of overpowering it. Their packed restaurant only shows that people appreciate consistently good food and will return again and again to enjoy it.

Overrated bland sushi. Very overrated. The sushi is simply not that good. The rolls are not well made and they almost fall apart. Below average at best.

works for my family. very good food! The wait staff was friendly to us and paid extra attention to my 3 year old. This place was about as good as you could hope for a crowded sushi restaurant on a Friday night with a 3 year old and 3 separate checks for one table.

great sushi...bad service. Sushi here is quite good but the service makes me never want to go back. I have NEVER EVER gotten a refill on my green tea, Not once in the 20 or so times I have been here, and I usually ask about 2-3 times per visit. The waitresses never smile and act like you are wasting their time by being there. If Ichidai were open for lunch, I would have no reason to ever set foot in this place again.

Great Sushi, but lots of choices for non sushi lovers. I love this place! Their sushi is very nice, not the best I have ever had, but definitely worth trying. The lunch menu is very worth while checking out if you happen to be in this part of town, and it?s always quite during the lunch hour. The dinner menu is extensive, with a great selection of very cheap alternatives to sushi. If you?re not a sushi lover, then plenty for you to try. It can be very busy in the evening, so expect to wait. I only found this restaurant about a year ago, and am now a regular.

friendliness not strong suit. Upon entering, stood at the front for 5 minutes while chefs glanced at us several times. Finally a waitress came and told us to sit anywhere. When our order came I realized we were missing a salad, ( the crisp salad is great and I love the orange/ginger dressing. ) The waitress said she had forgotten it. While she went to fetch the salad I told the people I was with that it was okay, I would just forget to leave a tip! Then we sat there finishing our lunch which was very good. They had just closed for the afternoon however and I felt guilty sitting near the door eating away as disappointed customer after customer was turned away. I resolved if I ever go back at all it will not be near closing time, as it was very bittersweet trying to enjoy my food while customers were being turned away left and right. I will most likely steer to a more friendly Japanese restaurant next time! And, yeah I did leave a tip, but not as much as I would normally.
