Editorial Review for Yuki Japanese Restaurant – by Jenny Tom
In Short
With picnic tables lining the sidewalk and wooden water wheels spinning away, Yuki fits right in on casual, bustling Broadway. Wooden screens create privacy between tables, while bar seats allow diners to watch the chef action up close. Sushi rolls are clever and creative, like the Mai Thai, a dynamite combo of shrimp, avocado, cilantro and lettuce; and Red Heat, spicy shrimp teamed with scallions, cucumber, crunchy masago and bits of tempura.

To the 1/2 Japanese girl who hated Yuki, if you're so pro Japanese owned restaurants why don't you open one yourself? Plus if you say Japanese take so much pride in their food, why are there so few Japanese owned restaurants? You're review sounded really racist...which I hope you're not. I've always had really good experiences at Yuki. It's a bit ecclectic, but it's a family owned neighborhood restaurant...don't go if you're expecting linen table cloths and dim lighting.

Vegetarians love sushi too, but sometimes the standard avocado roll, inari, veggie roll, and cucumber roll can get a bit boring. I really appreciate a sushi restaurant that puts thought into making something exciting for vegetarians. I love the Buddha roll. The Thai roll, Cherry Blossom roll and the Popeye roll are also very good. The presentation of the food is very fun too.
