Maria is really good!

Same as some of the other reviews, I have my hair done by Maria and she does a great job on both the highlights/low-lights and the cut.
My sister is a hairstylist in Los Altos, CA (very upscale neighborhood in NorCal).. and I as I lived in various parts of the country I struggled to find someone as good as her. I paid as much as $250 for highlights and a cut in Washington, D.C... and it was horrible!
With some good communication - Maria and I were able to work together and ensure we were on the same page. I am very happy with her ability and service quality.
Now - again... having a sister in the industry for 25 yrs... if you are looking for your hairstylist to be your psychologist also and someone you would classify as a great friend - Ensemble is not that place. But, really - go see a real counselor with the money you will save.

- Cons: not a pyschologist's office

Unpleasant

I went in from shopping to ask about waxing and was never greeted with a smile. It took about 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me, and it smelled like cigarettes because of the smoking stylists outside. I just walked out. It wasn't worth it.

Maria and Erica are great!

I recently had my hair colored by Erica and cut by Maria. This is my 2nd time with Maria and first with Erica. My daughter also has her hair cut and colored by Maria. They both are very nice to chat with, make you feel welcome, listen to what you want done, and do great work!
- Cons: They seem to have some turn over of Stylists and the Receptionist appeared a bit snooty.
