The Scene – Once occupied by the western outpost of longtime Portland fave Papparazzi, the former chef has taken the reins and made a place of his own. Vaulted ceilings, colorfully puerile murals and a something-for-everyone menu draws a following of families with parents who like to eat well. If you're not with tykes, try the more serene bar for dining. – – The Food – Whimsical items like hamburger shooters--miniature hamburgers on house-made buns--and snow cones keep the kids occupied. Best marinara sauce we've ever had. Lots of choices on the menu and everything is good. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Don't wait, go tonight.
- Pros: food, atmosphere, location
- Cons: can be spendy
Good food and cheap wine

Jopa is a nice restaurant for adults. It’s quiet, dimly lit and the service is always friendly. If you go, try the little personal pizzas – they are always delectable.
- Pros: 1/2 off wine on some nights, parking, quiet
- Cons: none
Everything here is delicious!

Jopa is amazing. My husband and I have been there several times and never had a negative experience with anything! Their steak is one of the best we've ever had. Their chicken entrees are deliciously moist. The butterscotch creme brulee was SO good! The appetizers are also good, especially the salmon skewers. They frequently have unique weekly specials that we order more often than not. On Tuesdays all wine is half off, making it more affordable to have a great night! We have always been seated right away when we come there, and the servers know their stuff! They make great recommendations and are real pros. The cocktails are made very well, try the Arrogant Gimlet if you are a gin fan. The only downside about this wonderful place is the price; I wish I could afford to go more often!
- Pros: Great food, half price wine on Tuesdays, nice service
- Cons: expensive
