Portland >Johnny B's
YUM YUM YUM!. They are friendly, their food is delicious, and its just a great family business to support! The pancakes are to die for and the chicken fried steak hits the spot. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu!
Simply good food, especially breakfasts. Johnny manages the kitchen and his wife, Arlene, serves customers. It's a diner, with an emphasis on breakfast (that's all that's served on weekends). Consistency, goodness and value are Johnny's strengths. It has a family feel and disdains anything fancy. Always a favorite (I enjoy eating breakfasts for lunch).
Best Breakfast in Portland.
The staff was very friendly and the food was really good! Made just like I like it. The pancakes are amazing!!
I asked the hours and the waitress told me they are open wed-sun now, always till 2. I was well taken care of and of course am going back for more! Go there, you will love it!!
Slow Service. The service was really slow, while we were given coffee quite quickly it was a long time before anyone came to take our food order. After we ordered it was an incredibly long time before our food arrived. The food is okay but does not warrant such a long wait. I did notice that another table who ordered after us were served their food before us which seemed odd as we didn't order anything unusual. I also noticed a couple who left before ordering because they got tired of waiting.
No longer 24hrs. They're no longer 24 hrs and I can't seem to figure out their hours in general. Call before you go. But they still serve awesome food!
Johnny B's. Excellent for breakfast and lunch (except no lunch on Saturday). Good simple food, presented in a simple fashion. Exceptionally clean - this is NO greasy spoon. Friendly, family owned and operated atmosphere.
