I love this place ! I get my eyelashes, nails, pedi, waxing and hair done here regularly! The eyelash extensions or awesome. They last me over a month, which is extraordinary! The nails are great, waxing is great esp for sensitive skin...IDK where all the other reviews are from...sounds like maybe one bad person posted many reviews. I have been going here for some time and when I try other salons, I always regret it !
Do not see May at Vu Miché. I repeat, do not see May! I got my eyelashes done by her. My lashes lasted all but one day. I don't suggest it and I definitely have experienced better. Afterwords, I got my facial done and unless you want to look like Frankenstein the next day, I wouldn't go there. She scarred up my face and it hurt so bad. Being fully aware that I have sensitive skin, she scrubbed it hard anyway. I came back the next day to get some ointment and she said that I scratched my own face and continued working on a client as if I weren't there! What in the world?!! Worse experience ever!!!!! It's hard to believe she is licensed!!
Worst ever! Purchased a Living Social deal, made appt on Thursday afternoon for the next day at 10 am, at 8 pm called & left msg that due to urgent project at work I wouldn't be there at 10 am the next day. Called to reschedule, they kept repeating that I didn't give 24 hours notice, they have a record of my call, the voucher is no longer valid - wouldn't listen when I tried to explain it was less than 24 hours between the time I called and the time of the scheduled appt, just kept talking over me and would not be quiet. Not happy about losing $$ but based on the horrendous customer svc I can only imagine how horrible the actual services would have been - figure I probably dodged a bullet. How can they stay in business when they won't even listen to their customers?!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON FOR ANY SERVICE!
I went in to have shellac put on my nails 3 times and each time it got worse. They would use different products each time to cut corners and not remember. The last time they left me soaking in the wrong solution for 45 minutes and still could not figure out why it was not coming off. It was gel and not shellac so rubbing alcohol would not remove it. Instead of trying something else they tried to put me back in the alcohol. At this point my finger tips were cracked and bleeding so I refused. They then sanded the gel of destroying my natural nail.
Then I tried a haircut and weave for blond highlights. 1st time I left crying because I went from hair that was to my waist to a shoulder length cut. I went back a 2nd time for my highlights to be touched up and left with a mullet and PINK streaks in my hair. I heard the woman tell her to put red undertones in the dye, but since I was there for a BLONDE weave I did not think it could be for me. The 1st time they tried to push red on me and I said that I did not like red. I have never heard of putting red undertones in bleach but it turned my hair to a grey color with a pink hue. I am going back in on Monday and demanding my money back this time. They did not touch up the high lights but put in all new ones. So I have blonde grow out and now pink and grey on top of it. At this point my only option is to dye it all black and wait for 2-3 years for the mullet and damaged over processed hair to grow out. I would not recommend this place to my greatest enemy.
Bait N Switch.
Centrally located salon in a strip mall by 158th & SW Murray is easy to find and has plenty of free parking.
I read Citysearch and decided I would like Tammy who had good reviews to cut my hair. I called and asked for an appointment with Tammy and asked what the charge for a haircut was. I was advised $25 or more for longer or thicker hair. Since I have straight, fine chin length hair I figured it would be $25. Anyway I went to my scheduled appointment and while the woman washed my hair she said her name was Linh. I wonder where Tammy was, but often in a salon someone else will do the wash and then the cutter takes over. So I was surprised when she took me to a chair and said she would be cutting my hair because Tammy was busy. Linh went on to say she would do a very good job and make me good very good. I do think I got a good haircut from her but the priced was $30 and I was told why Tammy was not cutting my hair.
I felt like a bait and switch situation took place and that was uncomfortable for me.
They do lots of nails in this salon so the smell of nails is pretty strong.
Great Salon. I've been going to Salon Vu-Miche' for years. Tammy is a true professional and does a fantastic job on my hair. Tracy does a great job on my nails and pedicure. Wouldn't think about going elsewhere.
Marie's the Best!!!. Marie is very professional. She takes pride in what she does and is very meticulous in her work. She makes sure you leave looking phenomenal. I've been seeing her for years for my hair and nails. Marie is extremely skilled. I highly recommend her.
Hair Extensions! Best Value in PDX!. Ask for Tammy if you want hair extensions done the right way and look great! After trying to grow my hair out for several years, I had given up and was referred to Tammy. She had the experience I was looking and a price that was affordable, since many other places I checked into were very expensive! I have watched Tammy's business grow over the past several months and she continues to find new solutions, such as real hair at a better price and feathers that were all over the runway this fall! My sister also goes to Tammy and we have referred several people to her...SHE IS THE BEST IN PDX! Her salon staff is great and always welcomes you with a smile.
HORRIBLE HAIR COLOR BY MARIE. Whatever you do, don't go to Marie for hair color! She over processed my hair causing chunks to fall out! And I was there for over 4 hours!!! Her haircut was good, but now I'm going to a different salon where the stylists there know much more than Marie does.
Best salon in town. I finally found a great salon which does everything. Got my great hair cut and color done by Tammy, she's awesome, she so experience with her cut and color. My Nails and toes done by some ladies, they are really good and there are so many choices. I love to come in to Vu Miche salon, they are team work and make me feel so comfortable and feel new everytime.
