IM IN LOVE!. Hahaha, this place is nothing but fun, food is outrageously expensive but it is so worth it. Now with the new stadium, hate the name but i love how it is soccer only!!
Minor League Baseball in the Rose City!!!!!!. A unique "below ground setting" makes PGE Park a very interesting place to attend baseball. I've been going to games since it was "Historic Civic Stadium", and continue going to see the Portland Beavs (including today's game). The park has a seating capacity of 18,000, so getting tickets in advance isn't always necessary, unless possibly a Thirsty Thursday or a Sunday Afternoon game. My favorite aspects of the ballpark are the outfield background (Stone wall in left field, Multnomah Athletic Club positioned behind right field, and especially seeing the MAX cruise past the stadium. An old-fashioned stadium in a great urban city makes PGE Park a great place to watch baseball without spending a fortune on tickets!
This stadium's new look provides a home-field advantage for the Portland Beavers and plays host to a variety of Portland events..
In Short
Formerly Civic Stadium, this steel and concrete structure with wood grandstand cover underwent a $38.5-million renovation in 2001. With more seating, more concession stands, a convertible playing field and a state-of-the art sound system, it is home to triple-A baseball's Portland Beavers but is used for everything from soccer games to rock concerts. The stadium also features a family deck, three suite levels and the Widmer Brothers bar and grill.
Great ballpark.
This is the best minor league facility I have ever been to (out of 6). Truly a fine place to spend the afternoon watching ball.
Clean, big bathrooms. Comfy seats with great views. Like the vendors and the Beavers a pretty good team to watch.
Admit, I love the Beaver Fever, Snatch It! shirt. I'm a sucker for crass humor.
I digress. The ball park is great and you can't beat the price.
LOVE IT!!!. What a fun night I had there the other week,,, Thirsty Thursdays definetly makes it more interesting and tons of fun,,,but I also love the atmosphere of the park and I love seeing Portlanders getting out and supporting their local team.. The park's renovations are great and there really is not a bad seat in the house... For $7 it is a good night out
