Find Somewhere Else!. Yesterday, I made an appointment for a cut and color with Jennifer, Traci's sister. She first offered 3:15, but that was too early for me. So she suggested 3:30 or 3:45. I told her that 3:45 would be better. So I showed up today at 3:46 according to my iPhone. She glared at me as I entered and said she only had time for a trim because other people were coming in 15 minutes. I was stunned. Then she accused me of being over 15 minutes late. I was only 1 minute late from the time we had agreed on! And even if I had come at 3:30, how was she planning to do a cut and color in 30 minutes?!

Neither she nor Traci were at all apologetic for wasting my time and gas money. Jennifer is either an incompetent scheduler or a deliberate liar who knowingly overbooked. Either way, I will never go back there.

Great Styles, Great Prices, Great People. I'd always preferred a traditional barbershop for my haircuts, but on a whim (fueled by a sign advertising a $9 men's cut special), I stopped in at Traci's.

She gave me the best haircut I'd ever had. Even with my lame "just buzz it on the sides and thin the top" directions, she innately understood what I wanted and delivered a great cut without requiring reservations and a loan from the bank. In fact, my wife dropped her longtime stylist after getting a cut and color from Traci's sister, Jennifer, that looked better AND cost nearly $40 less than what she was used to paying from various bigger name salons.

Oh and on top of that, they're utterly kid friendly. My 4-year-old is perfectly content while his mom or me are in the chair due to a big chest of toys and books at his disposal.
