Portland >Princess Nails
Best Pedicure in Portland.
Amanda does the best pedicure in all of Portland. The girls who work here are very sweet and fun!
The shop is very clean.
I love this shop!.
I have been going here for a little over a year for pedicures, acrylic overlays and eyebrow waxing. I feel confident in their cleanliness and everyone who has ever performed services for me has been friendly, warm and a great listener.
And you know, I'm kind of fussy about my nails. I concur with the other person who said her nails looked natural because mine do too. I get the overlay on my own nails instead of tips and they look amazing.
Not Worth What You Paid For.
This was my second visit to Princess Nails. I wasn't please with the manicure and pedicure after my first visit. But I gave it a second try...but still disappointed after all. Lulu or Luane (couldn't get her name because of her accent ) was my nail technician. I asked her not to cut my cuticles too deep, but she ended up not cutting my cuticles at all. The massage that she did was like a two years old playing with your hand. Perhaps that was the best she could do given her strength. A real hand massage might break her skinny arm :) She was quite talkative; I found it annoying after 5 minutes of conversation.
Overall, I don't think the price is worth the visit. Expensive manicure and pedicure, but the work wasn't all impressive, staff was annoying, additional charge for use of credit card, and limited parking space.
Fantastic acrylic nails!. Princess Nails is the only salon I've found in Portland where they actually recognize that I wear acrylic nails because my natural nails are too weak, not because I want a person on the other side of the room to immediately identify them as fake. My nails after going to Princess look and feel exactly as my natural nails would, if only I could get them to grow this long. They look perfect and beautiful, and nothing like the thick, spade-shaped nails that every other tech I've ever been to seems to think is how nails are supposed to look. Everyone in the salon was incredibly friendly, even after I accidentally dropped a bottle of hot pink nail polish on the floor, which shattered and made a huge mess. I will never go anywhere else as long as Princess Nails is available.
Fabulous Pedicure!. I'd been wanting to try Princess nails for a while, and I'm so glad I finally did. I gave them a call one random afternoon after a very trying day, and they were able to see me within the hour! Upon arrival I was offered a beverage, water, wine? They have new, nicer spa chairs that I haven't seen anywhere else, with actual jets in the foot tub! The pedicure I received was long and wonderful, totally relaxing. Lily was my technician and she gave a great massage, much different from your standard issue. It was luxuriously long and she only used a nice, scented oil. I was surprised to receive a hot towel wrap as part of their standard pedicure! That being said, the manicure was a little less frilly, but still nice. I was seated near the back door, which was open and made me quite chilly. I also loved the interior, which was tastefully decorated. All in all it was a great experience, I'll be going back soon.
I love this place!. I love Princess Nails! I have been going there for pedicures for over a year. I moved away from that neighborhood in January, but I still drive across town to go back. I tried some other small nail salons that were closer to my house, but none of them were as friendly, professional and clean. Atmosphere-wise, Princess Nails really makes the most of their smallish space. It's modern, clean and very calming. Everyone who works there is very sweet and friendly and they all make a point of learning the names of their regular customers. They always offer me water, tea or even a glass of wine. They put a lot of emphasis on cleanliness, which I appreciate (have I mentioned how clean everything is?). Their pedicures are wonderful, and include a beverage and the most wonderful foot and lower leg massage. I go there to treat myself regularly.
Over-Rated Service. I was an out of towner looking to get my nails done. Did my homework and found this place on CitySearch since the salon is nearby where I stayed. This place is overpriced for the service and interior atmosphere. I don't remember the girl's name that did my nail - skinny, dark complexion and has a strong accent- Linda, Lucy, L??? The quality of her work was ok, but she talked too much. I was there to get my nails done not in an interview. After ten minutes, it became annoying especially her English was hard to understand. She also tried too hard to show her good customer service skill.
Sanitary, attention to detail, timeliness, considerate of personal comfort/sensitivity. I've been getting pedicures in Portland for two year & I've been returning for Princess on 39th over half a year now. My boyfriend had his first pedicure there & we've been going back together since. All of the girls are really sweet & were gentle with our feet (sensitive from vitamin B deficiency). Their friendliness penetrates even my most bashful friends. They pay extra attention to detail and have even re-did a nail for me when they weren't satisfied with the way a flower looked. Everything is sterilized & they sell you a $1 filing & buffing personal kit so you know whose feet are touching the most personal tools.
Clean, Friendly and Excellent Work (All in one Place!!!). I have gone into several small, "mom and pop" nail salons and Princess Nails is by far the best. The staff is friendly and efficient and the prices are really fair. It is nice to see nail techs actually using their sanitizers and following state protocol (I am a stylist and have actually left mid-manicure because of some of the grossness out there). I really enjoyed my facial, my brows have never looked better. It is extra great because it is close to my home.
excellent eyebrow wax. I have my eyebrows waxed by Luanne once a month and absolutely love going to her. She is always very patient and takes her time to do an amazing job. I have had them done many places before but have never been as satisfied as I am now. Eyebrows are important, and Luanne is the eyebrow queen!
