Editorial Review for Seasons & Regions Seafood Grill – by Christie Scotty

In Short
Deep wooden booths and happy diners pack this tiny seafood house tucked between the Hillsdale and Multnomah enclaves. The fish and shellfish specialties are so deftly prepared, regulars almost don't want word to get out. Most dinners start with the trademark tomato-basil soup; entree specials may include razor clams and a ginger-lime salmon yakisoba. The screened-in outdoor dining is popular, as is weekend brunch, with five variations on eggs Benedict.

We took an out-of-town guest for a late dinner and arrived during happy hour (ONE hour before closing), sat outside in the bubble, and decided to order from the cheap menu. Indeed, good food, very cheap, good drinks.... service...well, OK, not awful...just spotty. They wanted to close. We've been there before, not late at night, and also had great food, but maybe a bit spendy with drinks. It's a good place. Committment to putting out quality food, but service should be better...I'm sure we'll go back though.

Seasons & Regions isn't only for seafood lovers. Their salads and desserts are my favorites and the cheap eats menu is great too if your timing is flexible. They have outdoor dining which is wonderful in the summertime.
