Shoes Shoes and More Shoes. This is Portland's best vintage store. The clothes are fabulous and span a wide range of time periods. The staff is friendly, personable and very knowlegeable. They are always getting new stuff in. I am a shoe junky and this place has the most incredible selection of vintage shoes I have ever seen here. The shoes rock! They also have an awsome selection of vintage lingere and awesome digs for guys.

Woolenthrope. I helped my friend move some stuff out of her old apartment. As payment, she bought me lunch at the Dog House on Burnside, and a shirt from Xtabay. I'm glad I got the shirt after lunch, because I'm a messy eater. I actually don't like clothing stores very much, but Xtabay has a lot of tiki style and I found a great black wool shirt very quickly. I wore it to my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. The Xtabay staff is helpful and engaging.

dress for an indie. This place is awesome. I went to 3 other vintage stores in seach of a prom dress that I would love and that no one would have. I had no clue what I wanted until I saw it at Xtabay. I bought my 1950's eyelit ballgown for only 60 bucks, which is so so so much cheaper than the dresses most of the schmucks at my school bought, or are going to buy. so yeah go to this place, i got a great dress for an indie chick.

this place has the best shirts. They have the best shirts in this store. There's always funny old t shirts I like, cute sweaters and stuff I want my boyfriend to wear. It's also not too expensive and the people who work there are nice

Find Your Inner Xtabay Here!. Xtabay's owner, Liz, loves vintage clothes, and her shop shows it. Xtabay is an inviting oasis where you'll find what you've been looking for, as well as things you never dreamed existed (and must have). Vintage 70s shirts and Levi cords nicely coincide with 40s lace slips and drop-dead gorgeous dresses in this shop. Xtabay also has the accessories to go with your bewitching new frock as well - shoes, handbag, earrings, necklaces, hat - you've got it. There are also clothes for the fella with an eye for fashion. Don't be afraid to ask for suggestions - Liz and staff are very helpful and creative. Also, even if you're not curious (and why aren't you?), ask what Xtabay means - ladies (and guys), you'll love it! There's also a $3 rack that will lure you into the arms of the Xtabay!

GOd's Gift to the Portland Vintage World. The Xtabay is the only place I can think of in Portland that is actually fun to shop at and I don't leave feeling like crap about myself. The store has such a good range of sizes (size 10 shoes too!)and the larger items are just as lovely as the size six dresses and shoes. Each item in there has it's own special charm. (I never feel like I'm wading through junk to get to the one tresure in the place), plus they're ALWAYS getting in new stuff. This store is great. you must hit if you've never been there. OH, also the people who work there are very nice and helpful and know the inventory well enough to help you out if you're feeling stuck.

Classic!. Of all of the vintage clothing shops I have visited in Portland, this one is the best. The store is well organized, the selection is fabulous, and the clothing is in excellent condition. The employees are knowledgable about the inventory and extremely friendly and helpful. If you are shopping for a special occasion, I would recommend a vist to the Xtabay.
