just perfect: elegant, unusual, striking. Jill at Starflower recently designed the flower arrangements for my grandmother's memorial service. My grandma was a very elegant person, an out-of-the-box thinker and we asked Jill to let these aspects of her personality and her bold life show up in the arrangements. Jill chose the perfect flowers - as well as natural NW elements like mossy pine branches to build a very striking arrangement for the front and several perfectly lovely smaller arrangements for the room. All of my aunts (very tough customers) were sooo happy with the flowers and how well Jill had designed to our unique requests. It's one of my best memories of the event. We're really grateful!

Amazing Flowers!. I have never seen such an uplifting, original, beautiful design as the one I received from Starflower this past Valentine's Day. As I proudly carried it home that day, people stopped in the streets entraced by the amazing arrangement their eyes had fallen on. Now two weeks later it still brings a smile to my face.

Most Beautiful Flowers I've Ever Seen!!. Jill was fabulous!! She made both my wedding and reception absolutely breathtaking. She was such a pleasure to work with and created exactly what I had in mind. I can't tell you how many people commented on how beautiful the flowers were. She transformed a dark library into something that looked like a winter wonderland. She made the most important day of my life that much better! I highly recommend Starflower!

Beautiful Flowers. Starflower did the flowers for my wedding a couple of weeks ago. It was fantastic. I wanted something "fall" to complement the season and bring the outdoors in. With this vague description Jill created the most beautiful, warm, lovely flowers I could have imagined. They were amazing, and quite accessible. I would highly recommend looking at the website, but keep in mind that they have access to all sorts of flowers, not just exotic ones. If you love red and orange mums (like I do) you can have a whole mess of them arranged in a beautiful way, no fussy, expensive lilies or orchids to be seen.

They are also very careful in using local and sustainable producers whenever possible. This is difficult in fall and winter, but there are always options. If you want to send flowers to someone locally, think of this as a great option with little negative environmental impact, just ask to see what is available!

If you are planning a wedding, go see them! They are kind and warm, and even if you don't chose them for flowers, you will probably gain some inspiration, or at least feel a little calmer for a day. This was one of the easiest choices I had in my planning process. Jill and everyone at Starflower are amazing.

The most creative and artistic floral design in the entire Portland market!. This past week, my son's partner had knee surgery and I wanted to have a beautiful floral arrangement waiting for her when she arrived home from the surgery. I did not even hesitate as to whom to call....Jill at Starflower. As always, my decision paid off! His partner called me upon receiving the arrangement and even though she was in a great deal of pain, she tearfully shared with me that they were the most unusual and beautiful flowers she had ever received. The reason I have such confidence in Jill's work is that she is not only a true artist whose medium is floral, she really works to understand the personality and taste of the receiver in creating her designs. if you are looking to give your loved ones the gift of living art, call Jill at Starflower!

ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL!!!. These are simply the most beautiful arrangments I have ever seen. We here at Straight to the Point Body Piercing have bi-weekly arrangments delivered to our downtown location. Each week we are amazed at what they find to put in the arrangments. Sometimes we have special occasions like First Thursdays when we need HUGE arrangments, and they meet our needs to the fullest. Very friendly, and I enjoy coming to work to see what neat flowers are here. Thank you guys!!!!!

i cannot recommend starflower enough! attentive, detailed, highest quality ... perfect!. i needed flowers sent to my mother-in-law. i'm in new york, and having never been to portland, i went straight to citysearch. i was impressed with the reviews i had seen, and gave jill a call. she has a sensibility about her that harkens to the "good ol' days" when attention to detail and personal service were the norm. and the quality ... don't get me started! bottom line: my mother-in-law was so ecstatic about the flowers, she said she was going to call jill and tell her it was the most beautiful arrangement she had ever seen. points for jill. (and points for me, the daugher-in-law.)

will i use jill again? DUH!!!!!!

THE most OUTSTANDING Florist in Portland.. I have had the privilege of working with Jill because of my job. When it came time for me to plan my wedding - I knew just who to call! I can't say enough good things about Jill and Starflower. Jill was amazing to work with. When we met to talk about my wedding, she made sense of my ideas, my magazine clippings, and suggested combinations of colors and flowers I hadn't thought of to make the most of my small budget. When I arrived at the church on my wedding day, my jaw dropped when I saw my bouquet and the most stunning, juicy, lush and visually tasty arrangements at the alter. The hotel raved about the flowers when they were delivered to my banquet room. My friends and family still talk about the flowers for my wedding as the most beautiful ones they have ever seen. If you want flowers, Jill is the person to call. She will make sure that you have something exactly right for the person and the occasion.

Wow, I just have to say that the flowers that you sent were absolutely *stunning*! Great pick on the flower shop, I would definitely recommend that place. There is a peony in this arrangement that is just incredible.
