Miss Kristie Rocks the Locks. Miss Kristie has been working on my dreads for about 6 years now, and I couldn't be happier. She has a unique technique using a tiny crochet hook, and when she gets done with me, there isn't a hair out of place!! I have about 50 waist long dreads, and she gets me in and out the door so quick it's amazing... usually about an hour if I haven't seen her in a few months. She's also a great conversationalist and always has something interesting to talk about. What more could you want from a stylist?!
Miss Kristie - Curly Hair Guru!. It's always been hard to find a good curly hair stylist. Miss Kristie is top notch. She designed a fabulous cut for me that is bold yet soft, modern yet practical. I don't trust anyone else with my curls. Great location too - right on my way home to NE from downtown PDX.
Jessica. Jessica is phenomenal with cut and colors. My family and I have been going to her for many years. Everyone in my family believes that she is both an artist and a wizard with her color palates. She makes all her clients feel like family members and is a great person. I would highly recommend her.
The People and Place you can trust. Sara has been cutting and coloring my hair for 18 years and I can't imagine going to anyone else. The cuts make my hair lay perfectly. The color combo she uses is perfect. In 2002 I moved to a little town on the Kitsap pennisula. It's about a four hour drive to Portland and I still come to Portland four times a year to have Sara cut and color my hair. Before my daughter and her family moved to North Dakota, they went to Sara too! When you find someone this great at what she does and is a wonderful person to boot, you just don't leave.
Great Hair and Great Company. I've been seeing Sarah since I can remember getting my haircut. When she switched salons and started Wildroot my family switched with her. Never have I walked out of the salon dissapointed with my hair. The experience is like no other and they treat you like family. Now after 14 years of getting my hair cut from her I could never switch salons...unless she did. The atmosphere is great and so are the haircuts. You get what you ask for and if you need help they know what to do. I highly reccomend wildroot salon!
David is amazing!. David has been doing my mom's hair for years, and he has done wonders for her - encouraging her to take risks (dyeing her blonde hair a spicy red, cutting it into a Natalie Portman-esque pixie cut, etc.) without pushing her too far. He is great at making her look trendy, yet age-appropriate. However, for all his skill, I was originally skeptical at getting my hair done by the same person as my mother does. And what a stupid thought! I came in to Wild Root at 6 o'clock on a Wednesday evening with a disaster on my hands: I had attempted to bleach my dark brown hair to a bright blonde on my own. Predictably, I ended up with a disgusting copper mess - and I had to have blonde hair for a play I was in. David went to incredible lengths to save my hair - a process that ultimately lasted 2 1/2 hours - while still giving me the color I was desperate for. And he succeeded in a commendable manner. My ugly, fuzzy, caramel mess became lustrous blonde locks right before my eyes. David also was wonderfully pleasant and personable - a genuine and funny guy. I highly reccommend him.
Your hair will thank you. Jamie is quite possibly the best hairdresser I have ever had in 15 years. My children go...I recommend peple to her constantly, but more importantly....people ask ME where I get my hair done! THAT says a lot! But the whole atmosphere is fantastic. The other hairdressers treat me just as well when I walk in as Jamie does. They ask you if you'd like water, coffe or wine...they are all SO kind. This is feels like a well oiled machine. I will follow ANY of them whereever they go!
awesome service. i saw kelli savage and she is wonderful and very patient with me i was a little nervous with my color because it was a color correction but she did a wonderful job and was very thorough with her work i would definatly recommend her to you
Love this place. Started coming here when my stylist moved over from Caught in the Act. I love the atmosphere a lot better, and I feel it's a lot less 'snobby' and easier to get an appointment. Not as much pressure to buy the product either.
