WOW...AMAZING..I LOVE THIS PLACE... I do not typically write a review for a restaurant unless it left an impact on me..and this place did. It was truly amazing. I did not want to stop eating. I have been to plenty of lebanese restaurants around America during my buisness trips and came across this very authentic, moderm decorated lebanese restaurant in portland. I ordered hummus as an appitizer and the house special as the main dish. The waiter was very helpful and kept a smile on. The hummus was beyond amazing. It had just the right taste, and was the best I have ever tasted. My dinner came with a soup or a salad and I chose the lentil soup...YUMMY..then the main dish..more hummus..tabbouli...a delicious chicken sharwarma with garlicky taste..the most fresh falafel I have tasted in my life..and kafta. I cannot explain how great this food was. You can tell it was the real deal..not like the other restaurants Ive been to that act like they know what they are doing. The place was not very busy which suprised me after having such great food. I later learned this was due to the fact that they did not serve alcohol, which was okay since the food made me not care what there was to drink. I ordered a mango juice which was the perfect sweet drink to go along with my meal. Overall...An amazing lebanese restaurnat with friendly staff and amazing food. I cannot wait to go back to oregon to have more!!!!…
Worst Middle Eastern Food I Have Had. I have eaten at a number of Middle Eastern places in Portland, and this was the worst. I would not got back. Everything was borderline bad. Hard to describe, it just did not taste fresh or that flavorful. Disappointing because it would be nice to have a good place to go to lunch downtown. I won’t be back.…
Purely Amazing Lebanese Restaurant!!!.
I went out a couple of days ago with my husband and young daughter for dinner at Abu Rasheed. I must say that from beginning to end, the experience was quite pleasant. The servers are very upbeat
and helpful in explaining what each dish is. We ordered the hummus, salad, and falafel as appetizers. All three were freshly prepared. The Hummus was flavorful and is some of the best I have ever tasted. My husband and daughter loved the falafel- my daughter kept saying they were "yummy." Considering my child is a picky eater- I was quite impressed. The appetizers were so plentiful that we were stuffed even before the main course arrived. We had shish kabobs, rice, spinach and meat pies. The spices on the shish kabobs were just perfect and the rice was flavorful. The waitress was very attentive to us the whole time and they made us feel comfortable even when my daughter was getting rowdy. That's always a big plus! All in all- we had no complaints and will definitely be returning soon. I can honestly say that Abu Raheed has made it into my "top five" list of best Middle Eastern restaurants!! Two thumbs way up!!
Ayman and Suzanne…
The best in town !!!!!!. Restaurant has an excellent variety of delicious foods. When I went there, I was welcomed by a friendly and helpful staff.
Some of the Best Food Ive ever experienced!. I went into Abu Rasheed today and ordered the Sahara Special! It was delicious, the chicken was amazing and seriously who ever says anything different has no idea what real shawarma or what real lebanese food is...because this place was great. The food was terrific and the waitress was the type that you hope to get when going to a restaurant. She was extremely helpful and was able to answer all our questions about the food. I love this place and will go back for sure.…
