Bhoga down at this airy industrial district studio, which welcomes all skill levels to its hatha and vinyasa classes. If you’ve been out of the yoga game for a while, try the Align & Refine class. New students’ first month of unlimited classes is only $30.
Check out Lila!.
As most, I have done the tour of yoga studios. I moved to Portland two years ago, as a yoga instructor myself. I thought as soon as I find a studio I jive with, I will look into becoming a part of that community. With SO many studios in Portland, I didnt think it would be so hard. What I found though is something like watered down soup. Because yoga studios are more common, its like putting water in the soup so there is more to go around, but it is just not as good.
So, I can never rate a studio as a whole, but instead have found amazing instructors that are the sole reason I go to certain studios.
Check out Lila!
Her sequencing, her themes, her spiritual teaching, and her aura of joyous love are amazing, and something everyone should experience.
I have been to many other classes with other instructors at this studio, and really like the nice new space it moved into, but really I go there because that is where Lila teaches. I would follow her to any studio.
inconsistent studio. Time and time again I have had negative experiences at this studio. Many of the teachers have been fantastic, however, the studio is disorganized and inconsistent. I have gone to more than one class that has been cancelled with no replacement teacher. It all comes back to mismanagement from an apparently absent person in charge.
Best yoga experience in years!. I've been practicing yoga for a few years, mostly attending classes through my gym. I went to my first class at Yoga Bhoga and I was amazed at how superb I felt afterward. This is what yoga is supposed to be like! The class was challanging, but offered many options for every yogi level. I worked up a pretty good sweat. Amy Armstrong was our instructor, and she was divine. You can just feel her warmth and compassion as she teaches. After this class, I felt like I'd just spent a day at the spa. I felt completely rejuvinated. I highly reccomend this lovely little yoga studio.
Great Yoga. This is definately one of the go-to yoga studios in portland. I highly recommend it!!! The instructors are very informative and helpful...
great place to be!. when i first moved to portland i thought that i would check out several studios and take advantage of the introductory specials at every place. yoga bhoga was the first place i went and i never left. the classes are challengin and fun, the instructors are compassionate, knowledgeable and supportive and whether i get up at 6am or am working until 7pm, i know i can make it to class. this is a great place to spend one's free time!
BEST Yoga in Portland!. If you're looking for the ulitmate in a yoga experience, Yoga Bhoga is IT. Diverse class types, a wide variety of class times, knowledgeable instructors, warm friendly environment, affordable, nice area of town, lots of parking for busy times, and great restaurant next door. If you're an early bird like me, try the Classical Hatha at 6:15am on MWF with Denise.
Yoga Bhoga is cool. I recently moved to Portland and was looking for something new to do in the area. I decided to try yoga for the first time and went to Yoga Bhoga on a whim. The studio has a great mix of students, from beginners through accomplished yogis. The teachers are great, very knowledgable, but not pushy. You simply do what you can, it's not a competition and never made to feel that way. Any class is open to anyone, regardless of experience. There's no required set of training classes to get into a more sophisticated practice, which let's you try a little bit of everything to find where you personally want to be. I never thought I could do a head stand, but now I can! I can't recommend Yoga Bhoga highly enough.
I found great yoga at Yoga Bhoga. After checking out a lot of studios in Portland, I finally found Yoga Bhoga. My practice has become something I never thought it could be, thanks to the teachers there!
