Si Senor Beaverton restaurant.
Recently I was so disappointed when I took a friend to eat at Si Senor in Beaverton. It was her first time there and I had been telling her how great it was.
1) Salsa: was mostly done with hot sauce. A huge change from what it was. It was one of the reasons I started going there.
2) I ordered one of my favorites; smaller portions of everything. Much smaller than of old. I understand economics but I am tired of restaurants making portions smaller (especially since we split the order) instead of raising the price a fair amount.
I don't believe I will be going back and I certainly will not recommend it again.
Awesome, awesome, great.. Si Senor rocks. The services is always amazing, and yes, they do remember you every visit. Delicious chips and salsa, FABULOUS margaritas, and a delicious dinner that is very reasonably priced. My son loves this place and the enchiladas! Great place to go with friends, family or just by yourself for lunch.
Another great experience.. Don't let anybody tell you this place is average. Some people can't be satisfied, but like the rest of the reviews mine is extremely positive. Always a great experience. Staff remembers you upon return and always makes you feel like a valued customer. Prices are slightly higher than surrounding restaurants, but the food, drinks and friendly staff make Si Senior a very reasonable and rewarding experience. Enjoy!
Si Senior in Beaverton!!.
A Si Senior mexican restaurant just opened up in beaverton.
Location
8220 SW Hall Blvd
Beaverton, OR 97008
This location used to have an El Tapitio mexican restaurant.
I am in Love With the remodeled Si Senior. Huge menu, very authentic and some hard to find items, Plus the Cantina is awesome.......
underwhelmed and disappointed.
Twice we've visited this restaurant because of the reviews here and because it is close to where we live.
The first time, one of our entrees was unremarkable and the other was pretty good. Portions were enormous and the price was average. The margaritas were served differently than most places and were pretty good.
The second time we visited, we were left thinking it was one of the worst meals we've had. One entree was deep-fried in grossly aged oil with the interior dough still chewy and somewhat uncooked, requiring the exterior to be cut and peeled off to eat the less than expected interior. The other entree was at least edible as served but unremarkable in all regards. The margaritas (the same as ordered previously) still a novelty in their presentation, no longer had any taste of alcohol. Even the chips tasted like the oil they were fired in had not been changed for quite some time.
Perhaps the second time was a fluke, but we don't believe eating at the same restaurant should be a risk greater than eating at a new and untried one.
Great LAMB and GOAT!. Our family would always go to the Si Senor in Raleigh Hills, but when we found out they opened one up in the Cedar Mill area we were so happy, it's so much closer to home. We love to try new authentic items on their menu. Some of their new items like the "Birria de Chivo" (goat) and the "Borrego" (lamb) is so delicious. Give it a try. I like to acompany it with their "Original Margarita" it comes in a shaker, mmm, it's so good.
Our Favorite Place. We have tried several Mexican restaurants in the area and none hold a flame to them. The food is consistantly great and everyone is helpful. They really do recognize you when you walk in. They have one waiter who already knows what we want to drink when we sit down! It's a bit pricey if you have a beer or two but there is always coupons in the A&E.
Best Family Mexican in Portland. We are regulars here - it's really family-friendly (they're nice when your kid spills rice on the floor!) and recognize you when you come in. They are always prompt, courteous, friendly, and their food is right on the mark - great variety, a mix of authentic Mexican (tacos al pastor anyone?) and creative dishes, and the prices are great. Stongly recommend.
Solid Real Mexican. Si Senor Rocks! This is our go-to place on the West Side for great Mexican. The Saturday Sunday specials are awesome, especially the goat! Also, the pollo asada is as good as it gets. No frills, but just what the doctor ordered!
Great Mexican Food. This is a great place to go with kids! The service is always great, the food is consistently great, and they have really, really good salsa (hot and mild). I love the original margarita!
