Where is the love?.
We moved to this area 2 years ago when the restaurant was El Gordo. It was really great. The absolute best Chile Relleno and Margaritas in town. Now? Not so much. The Si Senor chain seems to have entirely squeezed all of the flavor out of the prior establishment.
While the menu is the same, the end product IS NOT!!!!
Weak margaritas with really bad day-glow crappy mixes. Mine, a special margarita with premium tequilla, tasted like gatorade with bottled lime juice. Where was the tequilla? Couldn't taste it. $8 I might add...
My husband and I have tried over and over, as it is close to home but, It never seems to get better.
With El Gordo, The Chile Relleno was a plump Pablano chile stuffed with stewed chicken , wonderful mild cheese and a freshly made tomato/chile sauce.
Everything now has a distinct pre-fab, unfresh blandness to it. That may be okay for some, but we remember something much more special that is sorely missed.
The service is always wonderful though, which barely keeps us coming. Pick up your game okay? We'd like to be able to recommend you again!

Best Mexican Food in Town.
I discovered this place a little while back and I was instantly in love. The salsa is amazing and was the first thing that hooked me, but that's not all. I would rate their Barbacoa as the best I've ever had. Other things that you have to try are Tacos al Pastor and the milanesa. If you want simple stuff like enchiladas, burritos, tacos (make sure to get them mexican style) and speciality items. If you get a burrito or a tamale, I would highly recommend to top it off with the Green Chile Sauce (not to be confused with the verde sauce), which is a mixture of tomatoes, jalapenos, and pork. They have great margarita and beer specials during the happy hour.

Killer breakfast - weekends only!!!! Go; they need the biz!.
WOW!! They just opened up for breakfast on the weekends. Even ran some 2-4-1 kewps in the A&E. I ordered chorizo & eggs w/frijoles and rice. Warm tortillas, led off with chips y salsa. The house coffee was savory. I asked, "Is this heaven?" To which they responded, "no, it's Cedar Hills, ya Moe-ron!". Rachie sez Yum-O!

Mi restaurante mexicano favorito.
The food here is really good man, I always enjoy it. The people are friendly, and it's got a nice atmosphere. What more could you ask for? I admit I'm not a conaseur of mexican food, I actually don't usually like mexican food much so I don't eat it often, but I like this place and I eat here often.
