DO NOT Sterilize Tools. I visited this nail salon today during my lunch break to get a Shellac Mani. I was extremely dissatisfied to see my nail tech pull her tools out of a drawer at her station; tools were NOT soaking in disinfectant…
Don't Let Them Talk You Into the Expensive Mani. I go to this salong fairly often and I can deal with the pushy service since I'm usually pretty happy with the mani/pedis I get there. But lately they've been pushing these new kind of manis that they claimed would last longer and not chip as much. I couldn't understand what the technician called it since her English was so poor, but it was something about these special polishes they used. After applying them they put your hand in this little light box to dry. They charged me $25 ($10 more than a regular mani) and claimed that it would last a full 2 weeks. So I gave it a try. However, 4 days later I peeled it all off. I say "peeled" because you can't remove that stuff with regular polish remover. But it had to come off because it was all chipping so bad I couldn't stand it any more. I am pretty annoyed by this gimmick and wish someone had told me the truth before I wasted the money on whatever that was!…
Pushy Manicurist. They are more focus on selling you other services than care for you as a client. I wanted a pedicure and the whole time she was trying to get me to do design and tips. Even though I told her "NO". Polish came off in a few days which, should have lasted at least a few weeks. Won't come back.…
Pedicure Heaven. I recieved a gift certificate to this place and was elated to have found such a great spot. I was served right away and the lady that gave me the pedicure was wonderful. The water was scalding hot to start, but after my feet got used to it I appreciated to heat. I liked my pedicurist - Isabelle - because she spoke understandable english and was okay with talking or silence. I loved being left alone to read my book and enjoy the massage of my feet/calves. They are quite sneaky on the upsell (asking if I want tips, flowers, design, upgraded pedicure....) but that was expected so no bother. Overall, a lovely experience and I will use them again!…
Dangerous cuticle trimming!. Went to 4 Seasons Nail today after stopping by Innovations Salon and being ignored. I only go to this place as a last resort. I find they are too pushy with other services, and they don't sanitize their tools. Today I received a manicure and she cut my cuticle to the point of it hurting. I told her to stop, she still kept pushing a pedicure service. I informed her I had one the week before. The last time I was at 4 Season Nails, State Board was there inspecting. The nail tech shoved tools into her pant pocket, scary! They received citations along with warnings. I will never go back. The only decent place to receive services withou going to a spa is Oasis Foot Spa down in the Pearl. They give excellent pedi's without being pushy and they sanitize their tools. Spend a little more money, it is worth it!…
