Dante's Great reviews before Feb 2008 for MT HOOD PIZZA. The BEST Philly Cheese Steak in town!! Great food and friendly employees. Lots of Phillies to choose from.

Homemade soups are great also. Great menu selections more like a cafe. Board games available to play. Dante's is taking a BAD rap for Mt Hood Pizza. Totally different owner and atmosphere. Clean and Healthy you will go back!!

LOVE IT!. East coast guy is a choad, I agree!

This pizza place (does what a whale does out of it's hole) any Portland restaurant out of the water with their AWESOME customer service. I have gotten their pizza a few times and they are soooooo friendly.

Portland has taught me to really value people that are nice to me when I frequent their establishment AND they have DELICIOUS pizza.

Best not to avoid anytime!. Hey, spkeasy8, go back to the east coast. These guys are the best, good pizza, even better atmosphere. They do a great job giving us what we want. May not be award winning pizza, but its much better than most around. Keep up the good work

Closed down - didnt it? Who knows their pizza?? East Coasters.. I'm just an East coaster looking for a good slice, man. The right balance of sauce, cheese, and perfect crispy crust IS the perfect pie..period.

First time here ---crust was crispy, but very little sauce, and some kinda funky cheese (cheddar thrown in?). Second time here - limp, soggy crust, too much funky cheese, and ragu. THIRD time -- (we were desperate for a half time pie on a Sunday) -- cold, lifeless, with cheese hunked on top in some kind of alien consistency not yet seen. I cried at the injustice.

Here are our guesses as to what's going on:

1. Using a regular standard kitchen oven to bake pies.

2. ALL ingrediants FROZEN. Cheddar cheese?!

3. ALL ingrediants bought at the convenient store down the street.

Sorry Mt Hood, but 3 strikes en yer OWT!!

Great PIZZA!. I LOVE this pizza. they roll the edges in a bit to creat a crust that has sauce and a bit of cheese in it. I've been eating this pizza for over a year and its amazing. After I went vegan I was super excited to find they have soy cheese! If its not free pizza from Pizzacato (sp?) because my friend works there its Mt. Hood! BTW if you ever had bad pizza here you should try it again because it was a mistake.

The Place I Like To Be. When I first walked in, I fell in love. The pictures on the wall of all sorts of things were interesting and intreging . It was a very homey setting. Not only was the ambience comforting, but so was the service. The employees were friendly and quick to help me with anything that I needed or wanted. Then I finally tasted the food...it was worth every penny. The prices weren't high but the quality of the food was. I would recommend this place to everyone. So sit back, relax and enjoy.

Wonderful crust!. I love the food and the staff. They make a uniquely testured crust that rolls in a bit of the toppings.

Great Pizza & Awesome Service!. Mt. Hood Pizza is great pizza if you are tired of the same old pizza chains. The crust is excellent and the pizza is always loaded with LOTS of toppings. They don't skimp like other pizza joints. The young kids that work here actually work and the service is excellent. No BS, just good food with a relaxed atmosphere. Also, the owner is a nice down to earth guy who will sit down and join you for a pint of beer.

Best Crust in town!. They stuff their crust with sauce and cheese for a molten, juicy ending to the slices. Elvis and Lincoln cover the walls, with a cool couch room with two TV's. The best Philly Cheesesteaks in town, hands down. Cold beer and relaxed environment and you can drink outside. A diamond in the rough.

Most Every Sat. I cannot get out of bed most Saturdays from rocking out so hard on Friday nite. When this is the case - Mt Hood is one of my regular calls for delivery. The Pizza is always amazing and arrives quickly. The salads are healthy, crisp and fresh; so much so that in no time I'm ready to get out of bed and start rockin' all over again.

The other review is erroneous - there IS NO CHICKEN SANDWHICH! - never has there been one either.
