great location - good food. I like the area, the food was good... they were super busy, so the service was a little slow, but they were personable and they were swamped with people (for a reason), but I was in no hurry, so I have no complaints. Some people are so critical, or inpatient. If I was in a hurry... I wouldn't go here because this is the place you can be in and out of in a hurry. C'mon people!  View Less … View More

The Worst Breakfast in Portland. JAM should really be named JOKE... Let's start with the newly expanded space: poor spatial planning and the floors were filthy. We sat at the bar and the bartender was horrendous. It took her 10 minutes to clean the surface, then even more time to give us menus. We had to ask for cutlery, butter and re-fills for coffee and soda (although she was standing right in front of us). In fact, there wasn't even any Jam (to be had with our toast)!

Our food was bland. The ketchup tasted like it was fermented and I wonder if it was left over from the previous restaurant owners. My husband ordered a "spicy sausage" and he said it tasted like a hot dog.  View Less … View More

LOVE this place!. This is one of my most favorite places for breakfast. As with most Portland breakfast joints, you can enjoy your stumptown coffee while you wait for a table, so the wait is never that bad.

The thing on the menu I can't stop ordering is a Create-Your-Own Hasbrown stack... My combo: hasbrowns, black beans, cheddar, 2 eggs, and tomatoes. YUM.
