Impressed. I just finished PT with Alice for problems with my knee and neck. Both were recurring issues that I had previously thought I might just have to "deal with." Alice gave me stretches and strengthening exercises that significantly improved both conditions, and on my last visit she gave me a plan for continuing the exercises to hopefully prevent future problems. She and the other staff were always kind, encouraging and courteous, and worked to accommodate my schedule. Alice always asked how I was doing and changed my routine as needed. She is very knowledgeable and was willing and able to answer all my questions. I am relatively young and fit, and I enjoyed the environment at c.h. because it seemed more geared to the active individual than another physical therapy clinic I had been to. I even enjoyed going to my appointments because it was just like going to work out at a gym. If I need PT in the future I would definitely choose c.h. again.

Attention was on stretching damaged shoulder muscles. C&H diagnosed my injury and determined that I needed stretching, alignment, and rest with no painful excersizing. Robbie physically relaxed my shoulder muscles, adjusted my neck vertebrae, and gave me stretching routines. I am very satisfied with the professionalism, diagnosis, and treatments I received at C&H. I am one who has kept in shape by running and excersizing most of my life. C&H kept me "In the Game".

Focus on strength. No frills, no touchy feely, no questionable high tech procedures like electro-stim, ultrasound, or massage. A good place for athletes and those committed to training. Focus on strengthening the muscle groups that are weak and allow your injury to linger.

I have, also, witnessed Colin working with and improving the non-athletic, the arthritic, and the chronic pain patient with fibro-myalgia.

Lifetime Fitness for me. I started an exercise program 30 years ago and have been consistently exercising ever since. Even though I tried different diets and workout plans my habits and thinking weren’t always best for me and I had a hard time achieving my goals. It took a long time to find the right niche to achieve a level of fitness attainability that I desired.

In 2002 I listened to an AM radio station that broadcasted a fitness program on Sundays that Colin Hoobler hosted. I became hooked on his philosophy on exercise to get a quality workout in 30 minutes and healthy eating. I wanted to reduce my time in the gym and made a New Year’s resolution (2003) to make an appointment to see if his plan would work for me. I was amazed to learn there was a more effective way to workout. After taking a series of training sessions I saw definite results and have been on his program every since. At my initial consult I didn’t think I could lose weight and it wasn’t my primary concern to see him, but I decided I’d try the nutrition suggestions Colin recommended. I lost 30 lbs and have kept it off. Believe me, my happiness level jumped sky high.

This year I decided to return to CH Physical Therapy & Personal Training for a refresher course. Glad I did because over the last 7 years I somehow got sloppy with my form. I will always have a burning desire to take care of myself when it comes to physical fitness and I’m thankful Colin Hoobler’s knowledge & professionalism is the best that can be found. Follow his recommendations and you will definitely see results.

Thank you Colin, I’ll always be a follower of yours.

Best Choice for Physical Therapy in all Portland. I have had recurring back problems due to travel for work plus suffering from plantar fascitis. So, my orthopedist recommended CH Physical Therapy and I have been so impressed with the therapist I have been working with: Katie @ the Cornell Rd in Beaverton.

Based on the progress from my first consult, there is evidence of the improvement since I've started. My back and core is stronger and I have exercises I can work on when I'm traveling or at home. Ironically enough, I enjoy my sessions! You will not regret any therapeutic sessions here, even if you can only go once. You will leave more knowledgeable about what to work on and heal your problems.

Katie has been a consummate professional. She really prides herself on her work: she creates a different routine for each session and always provides an explanation of what she is helping me to strengthen. Katie always has a positive and cheery attitude; she is one of the few professionals that I really respect for her knowledge and demeanor.

c.h Physical Therapy. c.h. Physical Therapy helped a lot to strengthen my buckling right knee, and an arthritic left one. I've been to three or four PT facilities in the Portland area, but this is probably the best one for strengthening weak muscles. Alice at the Cornell Rd. facility, carefully evaluated my situation, established a challenging routine for strengthening and stretching and firmly put me through my paces. She was attentive and very good at answering the many questions I tossed at her. She even phoned a couple of times to just check on how I was doing. After suffering for months with the right knee problem, I noticed significant improvement after the first week, and even the creaky arthritic left one seemed to improve. The office staff was very good at getting me appointments at times that worked best for me as well as accepting a few unavoidable last minute cancellations without any fuss. The facility was clean and airy, and seemed to have enough room for everybody, even during the peak hours of activity. All in all, a job well done! I hate to admit that I'll be back, but I probably will, and won't hesitate to do so. Thanks again.

CH Physical Therapy gave me my life back. Thank you. I tore the meniscus in my knee as a result of an injury sustained while hiking. Katie Finn was my Physical therapist. Katie worked with my doctor on a plan to rehabilitate my knee first. After two months of strengthening, we made the decision to proceed with reconstruction surgery. I now have more flexibility and range of motion that I have had in 15 years. Katie was always attentive and customized treatment based on what I needed on the day of treatment. She taught me a lot about the care and tending for an aging, weekend-warrior’s body. The physical therapy leading up to surgery was definitely the way to go. I was amazed that I walked out of the hospital on the day of surgery. I had a similar surgery on my other knee two years ago and it took me eight months to be where I am today three weeks after surgery (pain-free). CH was very flexible in appointment scheduling and accomodating my erratic work schedule. The office staff is exceptionally professional and the facility was always Neat, Tidy and Fresh. –Duncan H.

Excellent Physical Therapy by Ann Horinouchi. Last year I fell and broke my ankle and seriously injured my hip. I went to their Beaverton office and Ann Horinouchi, PT, DPT was assigned to treat me. I arrived having to use 2 crutches to walk and I left 4 months later (2 sessions a week) walking on my own feeling a lot better. Ann is a fabulous PT. She listens to your issues and treats your condition with great care. In the short time I was there I learned a lot about how my muscles work, how to improve them and how to keep them in good working order. She was very careful concerning my pain and always found a way to treat me without making my injuries worse. She encouraged me to workout at home and at a gym. She answered all my emails concerning my off site workouts quickly and professionally. I highly recommend using Ch Physical Therapy. All of the staff seemed to be highly trained and eager to help.

Legs straightened through therapist's help. I am 76 years old. Some years ago, I was told by my orthopedic surgeon that I lack cartilage in both knees due to degenerative arthritis. Then about 10 years ago, my husband noticed that my right leg had become crooked, or bowed. Last year he noticed that my left leg, previously pretty straight, had now become more bowed than the right leg.

In May of this year my orthopedic surgeon, whom I had been seeing for knee pain, sent me to c.h. Physical Therapy, hoping to forestall knee replacement surgery through strengthening of the leg muscles. I saw Ann Horinouchi for about 3 months who worked with me through extensive manipulation, exercises, stretches and hard work and now, to my surprise and delight, my legs are amazingly and noticeably straighter. I really had no idea that this was actually possible, and am so pleased.

Fibromyalgia. I highly recommend Colin as a Physical Therapist.

He was very helpful in reducing pain resulting from my Fibromyalgia. He gave me exercises to do and I was surprised that it helped so much--I was sceptical that exercize could help, but it did. I was initially sent to him for physical therapy on a pinched siatica nerve. Got great results for both conditions.

He is very patient and always inquires, every visit, if I had any questions or concerns regarding our last visit.

Very professional, kind, and always concerned my welfare.
