This is my favorite Thai place when I am in Portland. I find the food very authentic and the flavors are great. They have very good service and the tea is wonderful.

Bangkok Palace is a good lunch location during the week--I can't speak for dinner, as I've only been there for lunch. The food is very good--especially the pad thai. The portions for the lunch meals are quite generous, as I've usually had to get a box. The location and decor are positives, but the crowd at lunch can be quite thick, so recommend getting there early. Service is generally speedy, although carry-out seems to take a while. The staff, while not overly friendly, is competent and prompt. Avoid sitting near the door during the cold season, as there's no protection from the draft when it opens.
