I received an excellent service for a delicate procedure. Dr Mika is not only very professional and skilled she has a sense of aesthetic that was crucial to the success of my procedure.

Pearl district dental in all services delivered ( I had to do them all!!) was top notch.

I definitely recommend this upscale place that invites trust and delivers what they promise and more.

This is the best dental office I've ever been to (including NYC) and I'm glad a coworker recommended her after I moved to Portland.

Dr. Mika is professional, warm and thorough. Her office is super clean, she's got modern equipment and she caused me no pain when she did a filling. She is transparent about what she's doing and takes time to explain it, making you feel safe and pampered but without detracting from quality work.

Everyone in her office is professional, engaging and courteous. You forget that you're in a dentist's office and actually look forward to the visit.

I've been a patient at Pearl District Dental for more than 10 years, and like some of the wonderful testimonies I read I wanted to add my positive reflections. The whole staff, Eli, Megan, Marjan, Rhea and of course Dr Mika have been absolutely wonderful to me. No question, they have saved my teeth, when I first walked into the office my mouth was kind of a mess. All through the years, they have been attentive, kind, very responsive, And, clearly skilled beyond compare, in my opinion. I cannot say enough about Dr Mika's skill. I have a beautiful smile now (for an old lady) and Marjan is so competent, gentle, the finest hygenist in my experience. I have such absolute confidence in Pearl Dental, I never worry that what is being done is appropriate and in my interests. After years of bad dentistry, I finally found a dentist, along with her wonderful staff, that I can trust.

You should try this dentist. I have been Dr. Mika Miyamoto’s patient since I moved to Portland six years ago. I have always had good dentists and have high expectations. Dr. Mika Miyamoto met and exceeded any expectations I had! I have also had extensive dental work done: bonding on my two upper front teeth, cracked back tooth, and fillings, as well as general cleanings, x-rays, etc. so I feel confident in recommending her for any work you need done. Dr. Mika has an excellent chair-side manner. She takes time to get to know you before getting to know your teeth. Her work is exemplary! And she continues to stay atop of field by continually attending the best training seminar all over the world. Dr. Mika has also hired people underneath her (office staff, hygienists) who are as competent in their roles as she is. If you need a dentist or are not completely satisfied with you current dentist, try Dr. Mika! You will not be sorry!

Very impressed. Let me preface this with I have not been to the dentist for 3 years and although the dentist that I was seeing before was very good, this office visit was an "Experience!!". From the moment that you walk into the door and are greeted by Sasha who "never has a bad day" to when you go in to see Marjan the hygenist, you will understand how Dr. Miyamoto’s staff treats you to a wonderful patient experience. Coming from a healthcare background, I can say that they go above and beyond to make their patients feel very comfortable. Let's move on to the cleaning. Marjan was wonderful! She took the time to explain everything that she was doing, she let me know my tooth rating, the computer at the chairside to me is also very helpful for the patient to visualize how their teeth look and what teeth are affected and need work. Marjan took time to go over the xrays, and where I need to focus for my next visit. When Dr. Miyamoto came in, she had time to discuss all my treatment options and gave her recommendations. At the end of the visit, Sasha took the time to explain the estimate of my insurance coverage and my treatment plan. After a few visits, I am sure I will give them five stars, but so far, I have been very impressed.

You too will really enjoy your experience with Dr. Miyamoto, her team and their patient centric approach.

Dr. Mika is the best dentist I have ever seen. I saw Dr. Mika Miyamoto many times starting about five years ago. The first appointment, I had a severe toothache in one of my molars that I neglected for several months. I saw two other dentists before and they both said the tooth needed to have a root canal. As I am a dental chicken, I put this off for a while. Finally, when the pain got bad, I called Dr. Mika on a referall from a co-worker and I was seen the same day. (She is a Japanese dentist who can help me in my native language :) Dr. Mika took care of my tooth and actualy did a procedure that saved the tooth from needing a root canal. I was very happy with that. Also she was very extremely gentle, understanding, and did not give me a lecture. She did stress the importance of taking care of my teeth and put me on a programme to correct my teeth and gum condition.

I know many people come here to look for a good dental clinic. I would recommend seeing Dr. Mika without any hesitation.

Looking for Portland Dentist? Go to Pearl District Dental!. I have been a patient with Dr. Mika Miyamoto at Pearl District Dental for the last 3 years. She is by far the best dentist I have ever been to!!!! Her staff is 5 star quality all the way. I highly reccomend her to anyone, and if my family lived in this area they will all be going to her as well. Now that I have to move to Chicago I wish I could take his whole office with me too!

I recommend this dentist without hesitation. I went to see Dr. Mika Miyamoto at Pearl District Dental about three weeks ago for the first time and she was the most amazing Dentist I ever met She is very honest, caring fun person. she doesn't push you into anything like most dentists do. My previous dentist did a bad job of cleaning and filling my tooth But dr Miyamoto fixed their mess and she was very gentle. Her chair side manners were great. She is a dedicated dental professional and a warm and caring individual and I am no longer more afraid to go to the dentist. also her staffs are great. Megan , dental assistant - very calm, friendly, and makes your feel good , receptionist Sasha is also very nice, good customer service. Also I like the fact that it's a small clinic and Dr Miyamoto is the only dentist there so you will be seen by the same dentist , same assistant and same hygienist everytime you visit. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Dr. Miyamoto and the entire Pearl District Dental team.

Portland's Top Dental Clinic. I am in healthcare myself, but I must admit, I never really liked going to the dentist. My husband and I were recommended to Dr. Miyamoto-Shemali's clinic from one of our friends who has been a patient at Pearl District Dental for several years. Initially, I was very impressed with the layout of the office. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. As a new patient, the experience begins when you first walk in the door. That is all very important to me. My anxieties were diminished as I was brought to the back and met the staff. I also recieved a tour of the office!! Very nice touch!! The hygienist is very professional and friendly. You feel like they create a family environment. Dr. Shemali has awesome bedside manner and is very professional and friendly as well. I was able to have all my questions/concerns answered and explained and did not feel like my service was rushed. I have since had several fillings and one crown and my mouth has never felt better.

I must add that Dr. Shemali made me aware of my problem with clenching and grinding which has wrecked havoc on my teeth, not to mention the consistent headaches that I've been getting. I have since been fitted with a special type of night applicance and it has made a world of difference. I will definitely make Dr. Shemali my dentist of choice as long as I am in Portland and would highly recommend her services. Great atmosphere, professional/friendly staff, great all around experience!!!

hard to find a good dentist in this town. Ugh. I did find a pretty descent dentist in town but not before I went through a handful of rude and strange visits. There was always something not right, either it was the dentist being too fast or talking down to me, the staff acting unprofessional or just the fact that I did not feel comfortable looking at huge list of things that were supposedly wrong with my teeth? I do not have a problem getting a second opinion. Luckily I can afford to do dentist "interviews" but not a lot of people have the time to do this. I definitely DID not like the hygienist at this office as well as the pretentious art all over the place.
