I have been going to ALLISON at Blu for the last 4 years since she successfully fixed the MAUVE colored hair my previous stylist had left me with one day. I'd never loved my hair before Allison, frustrated with the wave and the coarseness and the color. Ever since the first time, she has left me with beautiful hair and taught me the best ways to style my hair to disguise the things I don't like and emphasize the things I do. She is EXCELLENT at color and my hair always looks like I've been blessed with great natural dimensional color. Love her!

I have been going to ALLISON at Blu for two years and have gone through many, many, many hair changes. I have gone from barbie blond to fire red and back to blond again. She has been very helpful every step of the way taking fantastic care of my hair!! She also did my hair for my wedding as well as my six bridesmaids. She had never seen most of the girls hair and they all loved their final looks. She has amazing taste and I can just go in and say do what you want and it always turns out perfect!! But she will also do just what I want if I have a cut or style in mind. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great stylist. She makes my hair look and feel like a billion bucks!!!

ALLISON has been my hair stylist since beauty school so to say I've tried everything I could possibly try with my hair is an understatement. No matter what I throw at her, red blonde brown redish blonde short long bangs no bangs, she can tackle any request and rock it. ALLISON is well worth the money, I couldn't begin to count how many people I've referred her to, and I would be LOST without her amazing skills and beautiful smile!

Blu is fantastic: professional, courteous and a wonderful atmosphere.

Alison is AMAZING!!! I would NEVER go to anyone else. She is incredibly talented, able to do even the most challenging requests with ease and she has a personality to match. She is my forever stylist!

Do yourself, and your hair, a favor and try Blu, and ask for Alison!

Done with Blu. Can't keep appointments, it has happened twice in a row now. The first time, I was okay, it happens but the second time I "wasn't in the system" I said that's it. Good thing I called both times to confirm or I would have showed up to find out I "wasn't in the system". Too bad because they had a great stylist, Trish.

Time for a real review. I had Peggy as my stylist. I had a groupon coupon. The haircut was ok at best. I made the mistake of not asking the price beforehand. After the cut I asked her how much I owed and was expecting to hear zero. (my haircut was 1 level up from a bang trim) when she told me another $25 I almost fell over. First of all, I've been to many very good reputable salons downtown, pearl, sellwood etc and I have never been charged $65 for a basic haircut. When I've paid in the $50 range, I got a very good haircut. I'm sorry but Peggy is not in that category. Not even close. What good is it to buy a groupon coupon if the prices get jacked up when we go to redeem them? Do yourself a favor, ask the stylist you choose how much she charges BEFORE you sit in her chair. The worse part of it all? I still need a haircut!!!

WASN'T HAPPY. so i got a groupon for the blu a salon so that my daughter could get a hair cut for her birthday present. and for first day of school. i was pay $20 get $40 worth. before i bought it i looked online at there website to see the prices it was pretty reasonable so i got it. i called and made a appointment today thinking the hair cut should be $25 and there would be enough for a eyebrow wax? and also give a $5 tip. she got her hair cut then i asked how much guess what it was $45 JUST FOR THE HAIR CUT!! so i had to pay extra and no eyebrow waxing.i told her about the website prices she said oh well i charge $45 and the lowest person charges $40 what kind of male cow dropping is that .... i told the girl they needed to fix the website prices cause if i knew that before i got the coupon i would of got this one that you get deep condition, hair cut, hair color, and style for $55.. if you ask me its a WAY BETTER deal...

Only ok. I was hoping for wonderful, based on other reviews. It was ok. Parking was a little difficult. I will try again, but next time I'll ask for a specific stylist based on other reviews, like Trish for example. I made my appointment with whomever was available. Mistake on my part!!

SO THANKFUL FOR TRISH. I have been coming to Blu for a year now. I heard about Trish (my stylist) from a friend who has the same hair as me... Straight, fine and volume-less. I have had bad hair cuts for years now, it gets tiring after awhile, but after having Trish cut my hair I have (honestly) never been happier. She knows how to cut fine hair to give it body and volume without giving you a "bob" cut. I live in Spain currently, but I am so happy with her haircuts that I wont let anyone else touch my hair, I just hold on 5 or so months till I pass through Portland again so that Trish can give me a trim or cut. That's the other good thing, her cuts really last!

Thank you Trish for everything, especially for helping me love my hair for the first time in my life!

Charlotte Whitcomb--GREAT!. Had my first ever appointment at Blu yesterday. Charlotte was my stylist. She did an AWESOME job!! Wonderful shampoo/scalp/neck massage--very relaxing. I like the atmosphere of the salon--comfortable, friendly, professional without being pretentious. Charlotte is very friendly, knowledgeable, and really heard what I was saying. I am so happy with the job she did. I LOVE my hair. I now have an appointment with her for color! Thank you Charlotte!!
