Mio Sushi, Beaverton.
Love the atmosphere; never feel rushed as in sushi fast food restaurants with sushi that travels on a conveyor belt. (That is good when in a hurry and dont want conversation.) The "Happy Hour" menu is delish.....
and the staff are very personable. A very clean environment. Give it a try....I keep coming back. You might too.
Great everyday sushi spot.
The other reviews need to get over themselves. This is no Sinju or Saboro's, but it is very good, everyday sushi in an environment similar to any busy sushi bar. Service can be great, or very bad, but food is always consistently good. Don't sit outside in the summer as they tend to forget about you.
After reading such great reviews, I was very disappointed w/ Mio in Beaverton. The location is great but the service was dismal and the sushi quality was mediocre at best. Our waiter (an older, cranky Asian lady) ignored us for the first 20 minutes and we were only 1 of 2 tables! It got the point where we had to take our order to the sushi chef ourselves. The wait for the sushi was mercifully short but the sushi was just.... so unimpressive. If you're looking for good sushi in Beaverton-- go elsewhere. This is not as good as the hype.
Sushi Rocks and Rolls.
One of my favorite spots to get a quick roll or two. Very inexpensive and great quality for the price. They have a diverse selection to choose from and recommend the Lovejoy Roll! There sake selection is acceptable. Best part of Mio Sushi is its location right off the MAX blue line @ Beaverton Central! Definately worth a visit. It has a very small sushi bar and dinning room, but I'm there to eat sushi not be seen. So give Mio a try! Hope this helped out!
seated promptly, and good service throughout evening. located in a tendy mixed-use development, which was kind of cool. sushi was pretty mediocre with small pieces and too much rice in the rolls. they do advertise as being reasonable cost-wise, and a friend and i got out of there for $55 with drinks, so i would agree with that. in the end, however, i wouldn't have minded paying more if the sushi was better.
Great Sushi for Aloha.
A friend on the eastside of town raved about Mio Sushi years ago. We checked it out when it hit our strip mall. The place is small and scarce, but if you want great sushi and consistant service, we highly recommend this place. It's the best sushi we've found in our neck of the woods. We've never been dissappointed. We do take out also and it is always timely. Had problems years ago with take out at another local place.
Try it out, you would regret it. They also have a whole menu besides sushi that makes one of our sushi unfriendly children happy.
One of the best in Portland.
We eat here all the time, consistent for over a year... The other outlet on Johnson is just as good. Fresh and tasty. Wish they were open on Sunday nights. What is it with Sushi places in this city. None of the good ones are open on Sunday night and that's when this Detroit'er is used to going out for Sushi!
