A Quirky Place to Drink!. This place is kind of the bar equivalent of junior high. The dress code is casual, gossip and bickering abound and there are plenty of awkward moments. Seriously though, if you live in the neighborhood this is a great place to drink. The bartenders are all cool people who are interesting to talk to. The regulars are a fun, quirky bunch. The food is not 5 star cuisine but I recommend the cheese steak.

One Of The Worst. This bar is terrible. If you are not part of the click that hangs out there (the bartenders buddies), you are not welcome there. Trust me when I tell you. I have given it several chances and I am a super polite person who minds their own business. There are plenty of bars in Portland, make this one the last place you would ever go to. Life is too short. Don't waste one minute of your life in this joint.

Great Neighborhood Bar. The drinks are more than reasonably priced, the beer selection is good, and most everyone is friendly. I don't know why "herecomestherain" would review a bar he/she has only walked by and judge it based only on the fact that they have TVs playing -- gasp!! - sports! OMG, how low class! If you like bars in the Pearl, go to the Pearl. If you like a friendly neighborhood joint to grab a relatively cheap drink or two, come to Brooklyn.

Only go here if you enjoy watching sports on big TVs. If you are into viewing strangers on a television screen run around with other people while you drink then this is a GREAT place to go! If you're like me and do not enjoy televised sports, stay away. What is visible from the street are big screen TVs playing sports events. What a turnoff. I've never been inside and never will because I already can tell from the TVs that this is not the place for my ilk. Boring.

Where everybody knows your name... And they're always glad you came.... I love the Brooklyn Park Pub. It's now my new favorite neighborhood hangout... and I live nowhere near the neighborhood. Great location... great food... great, friendly staff. Highlights include: best whisky selection in town (with knowledgeable staff to boot), excellent rotating draft (always local!) beer selection, excellent local wine selection, killer burgers & fries, complete edition of golden tee, juke box, and finally.... lots of big screen TVs all showing sports.... and not JUST sports... they're known to throw on a game you'll see nowhere else... rugby and futbol anyone? this is your place.

Great neighborhood whiskey pub. Cozy and cool neighborhood pub, with a ridiculous selection of whiskey.

The service is great and they help you find new whiskeys you might want to try. Also, a good rotating microbrew selection and really good burgers.

Highly recommended for a casual drinking experience, or just for trying new whiskeys: I used to hate bourbon and scotch but now I'm a believer.
