I ordered an arrangement for Mother's Day, and was so pleased I went back to Marketplace Flowers again for a bouquet for my sister's graduation! Both times the flowers were so fresh and fragrant. Cost is determined per stem, which made me nervous when deciding on the bouquet, but Mieko used some lush green ferns and picked stems with multiple blossoms, so when I left I had my arms full with the most amazingly rich bundle of flowers. Really happy with what I got for the budget I had requested. My sister loved them. After the ceremony and dinner we cut the stems and put them in fresh water (as Mieko suggested), now they're working as a centerpiece on the kitchen table. Great value and really gorgeous!

best florist in Vancouver. The best florist in Vancouver, period! I haven't seen such an eclectic variety of fresh flowers anywhere else. Tropical "birds of paradise" and other beautiful things I couldn't identify, orchids of all hues, Canadian Gerber daisies, lush clusters of hydrangea, the most vividly purple kale, and so many unusual types of greenery...

The sweet lady behind the counter is the owner, who was so helpful in the face of my overwhelming uncertainty and gave me lots of tips for keeping my flowers fresh longer.

I went next door for coffee while waiting for her to make the arrangement and came back to see a vase bursting with lilies, daisies, clover, and feared I'd been duped, that there was no way it would fit in the $50 budget I specified...it came to $47 and looked SO much better than I could have imagined! Based on my experience with a nearby competitor in downtown Vancouver, I couldn't believe it.

Since that initial visit, I've gone back several times and have been absolutely satisfied. I can't believe the money I've wasted at other florists when Marketplace has been here this whole time! This place is an absolute gem.

Fantastic Flowers. I have purchased arrangements for myself and others many times from Marketplace Flowers and every time Meiko has delivered beautiful arrangements that stay fresh and beautiful for weeks. Her tropical designs are especially creative and gorgeous and she has the best selection of orchids and always is friendly and outgoing. I'm not sure what Jeffrey W. keeps talking about in his reviews but he has been smearing Marketplace Flowers all over the internet and everyone else loves this store. Absolutely recommend Marketplace Flowers to anyone

Amazing Gerber Daisies. I bought a dozen Canadian Gerber Daisies, they were amazing and stayed fresh for a whole week in 1 inch of water. Very impressive little shop amidst a wonderfully eclectic setting. Mieko is more than happy to work with me on what I personally like in flower arrangements - that's hard to find these days.

The Only Stop for Flowers. I move around a lot and whenever I get to a new city, I find a coffee shop and a florist. When I got to Vancouver, the florists were acceptable but nothing special ~ until I wandered into Marketplace Flowers (while searching for a coffee shop, actually). Their flowers are fresh, the selection is amazing, and the prices are right in line with industry standard. Even more important, for me though, was the fact that when I told the owner I wanted something unusual for my office, she actually created something unusual rather than something I could have gotten online. Now, I don't bother going anywhere else.

It Gets Better Everytime. Before I met the Marketplace Flower, my idea of a bouquet is lots of beautiful flowers put together. Miko offers a unique and modern design into her craft. I have been using Miko for several of my occations, and her flower design gets better everytime.

Overpriced, low quality, poor service. I called Marketplace thinking to get a lush bouquet of gerbera daisies to celebrate the opening of my partner's show; they promised that they'd create a stunning piece, and we agreed on a price, including delivery. What did my $83 buy me? When I saw the flowers a day and a half later, there were 9, repeat, 9 daisies, with some greenery in a simple glass cylider vase, and they had all wilted. First of all, that comes to over $7 per flower, which is an absolute rip-off, and secondly, if they had been top-quality blooms, they wouldn't have wilted so quickly. I emailed them, but my emails were ignored: when I called to request at least a partial refund, it was denied, since "flowers are perishable". No kidding: theirs were completely dead within two days. Save your money and a good deal of aggravation, and buy flowers elsewhere!
