Great Service and Product. My mom and I have been going to Melanie since before I was in high school, just about 10 years ago. We love her services and products. Starting from Brazilian and eyebrow waxes to specific facials for both of our skin types.

Once I started going and using the product my skin has never been better. In high school I would break out and get black heads but the eminence product has cleared my skin and it's all I ever use.

Not only is the service and product great but the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable and it's nice being the only one there so you never feel rushed.

In Re: Skin Care Disaster- Miramare Spa is FABULOUS!~. This is absolutely shocking to me to see a review like this for Miramare Spa. This definitely sounds like an individual case, since my experience has been the exact opposite. I have also been battling acne, for over 14 years and for the first time in my life I finally have it under control without having to take a prescription. With the help of Miramare Spa and some healthy life changes my acne is finally subsiding for good! I can only hope that people give Miramare Spa a chance so they can find success like I have, and make their own decision about it. By Far My Favorite Spa!. I first visited Miramare after reading a review a couple of years ago on the Portland Picks website. Since going there every opportunity I have I visit this great little spa in the heart of Northwest Portland. I live in a world class ski resort and need extra special treatment for facial sun damage. I actually do have an opportunity to take advantage of some large and pretentious spas here in my hometown, but it was a visit to Portland and Miramare two months ago, that spa owner, Melanie, discovered a spot on my skin that she felt looked very suspicious to her experienced eye and suggested I go ASAP to have it checked by a skin doctor. I took her advice. I'm glad I did. This spot was (the dreaded) melanoma. I had this removed shortly afterwards and was advised by the Pathologist that the plastic surgeon had "got it all". He also told me that I should thank profusely the aesthetician who had recommended I get it checked. It was a small spot, but a dangerous one. Thank you Melanie, not only for this advice but also for your very special attention to detail. I should take advantage here, though, to also say that Melanie's exceptional one and a half hour facials that I experience each time I am able to fly out to Portland are simply wonderful. The very best. And I have been fortunate enough to visit many spas. My only wish is that I lived closer to Portland because, without doubt, I would have the enjoyment of Melanie's touch each and every week.!…

Regarding Skin Care disaster reveiw:. The treatment of problem skin presents many unique and individual challenges. In 13 years of business, I have passionately treated acne clients both with individualized facials and home skin care recommendations.

In the course of treatment it is essential that along with regular visits, the client takes a personal responsibility for positive lifestyle changes that will benefit and contribute to healthier skin. This includes giving up destructive habits that further damage the skin such as smoking, chronic picking and unhealthy diet / lifestyle choices.

Severe acne requires a multi-stage approach that is best introduced early to clients. Occasionally, when red inflamed skin is cleared up, older and deeper acne related scarring may be revealed. I can say that each client receives my full attention and effort regarding concerns with their individual skin health and beauty.
