GREAT FOOD, cashew chicken, yellow curry, WONDERFUL.
We have been going there for years now. Always good food. They know us so well when she sees us come in before we can even order she has are regulars already coming out.
A few years back when our oldest wouldnt eat anything except yogurt and cottage and cheetoos. Peter, the owners son, took notice and went to the store and got our son cheetos and some coloring books so we could eat in peace. What a place!!!
Alway high quality meat. A must.
Excellent Red Curry.
Thought we'd try Dok Koon because it was close and we had a 2 for one coupon.
The place was clean and service was friendly. Servers could have suggested tea and other side things, but seemed timid.
We've had worse Thai food in Vancouver. Some of our food had its own unique tastey flavor and some was missing any flavor altogether.
Wife ordered Red Curry with shrimp which was excellent and I ordered Pad Thai with shrimp,
which was tasteless. The tails were left of the shrimp with looks nice on the plate, but makes
food sloppy to eat, pulling off the tale. We ordered Mild. I like hot and spicey food, and this was just about right, but would hate to tangle with "Very Spicey", four notches up the fire ladder. Lots of folks could not have eaten the Pad Thai I got. The red curry was perfect. After I put some red curry sauce on the Pad Thai, It really had a great flavor, but it turned into red curry with noodles. We will probably go back but will try some other places in Vancouver, first.
