Good for happy hour. I love going here for happy hour and ordering the lamb burger and fries. Great drink menu. Cute, hip but not hoity toity.
I'm still drooling over my martini. 2 of my girlfriends and I went to 820 last week (on a Thursday night around 5:30) after one of them recommended it. They had luckily found a spot for us to sit because it was packed. I had looked on their website before arriving so I already knew what to order. I ordered the "Freestyle" and it did not disappoint. We all sipped each other's drinks and my friends liked it so much they ordered one too. The funny thing was it is not on their drink menu in-house! They still made it (and our server said it was her favorite) so I was happy and it made it feel all that more special. I also got the Guava Cosmo and finished off with the Sweet Love. I liked them best in the order they arrived. We also got a few bites - the appetizer platter (yum), the lamb burger (you gotta like it spicy) & sweet potato fries (better than I expected) and my friend liked her hummus a lot. I probably won't order the lamb burger again but I'd get all the other food and certainly more Freestyles. Our server was very attentive as well and there was no loud music and humm of people was not too loud with so many bodies in a small space, so we could hear each other talk which was nice for a change. Overall it was a great experience. We will be back soon.…
Great burgers, good drinks and questionnable management. Bummed out. I've hosted my monthly networking event, pdxMindShare, at various Portland-area venues since 2000. I was excited to bring the event to the East side and enjoy a good burger and drink. For the past few months, everything seemed to go as planned. Unfortunately, I received an email from the manager a week or so prior to the upcoming event notifying me they no longer wanted my business. No phone call, no explanation and nothing more than a few days notice. I'm no longer able to patronize Mint/820 after the poor service (and judgment I experience by management).…
A favorite. A great place to hang out after work for a casual yet sophisticated atmosphere. Amazing house drinks and the happy hour is the best in town!
Just so-so.
Heard it was a great place for Martini's. Not sure why because they were just so-so. The place could use a little updating in decor, sort of dismal surroundings.
But...fear not this isn't an "all bad' review...the best part its NON-SMOKING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED THAT PART!
So for all you stinky cig smokers, look elsewhere!…
