Bridal Loft is a must have for your wedding day!!. So I am a brides maid and we all had to get dresses from Davids Bridal (clackamas)...Where as the dresses were very nice the customer service was not!!!!! Especially with alterations! not only do they charge an arm and a leg but you have to pay up front before any altering is even done! On top of that the employees in alterations were very short and snippy and they were not willing to work with or around anything!! So I did some research and found....the best...most amazing...and comfortable place to get my alterations done! The Bridal Loft on MLK!! the people there were extremely friendly and very personable...I was mainly working with Kim and she is such a great person to work with!!!

All in one, with one mishap. It was such a relief to find a place that had a fun atmosphere and great customer service after a couple of really negative experiences at other bridal shops. The shop isn't stuffy or pretentious, the owners are knowledgeable and personable. Specifically we worked with Kim at Sewing Solutions, Andrea at August Veils, and Katherine at Event Cosmetics. Andrea's custom made veil and hair pieces (for my friend, the bride) turned out fabulously, as did the alterations by Kim. Both were at such a reasonable expense. Katherine didn't do our make up herself, but we were very pleased with the flexibility and results that we did receive. We had one HUGE misunderstanding though (an over $700 misunderstanding) with Event Cosmetics that came up the day before the wedding. Katherine did the best thing and honored the original understanding so we weren't left scrambling to find a replacement. For service, cost, and environment I recommend this place.

Exceptional Service by Event Cosmetics/Katelyn Dufour. Event Cosmetics (Katelyn Dufour) did the make-up for my mothers, sisters, and myself for my wedding. From my consultation to the day of the wedding, Katelyn was extremely professional, informative, helpful, and friendly. She explained each product, the application, and the process for the day of the wedding, which really helped put my mind at ease. Almost every aspect of my wedding planning before the consultation had been stressful and confusing at times. At my consultation, I felt for the first time completely taken care of and relaxed. The day of the wedding went on more perfect than I could have ever hoped and Katelyn was there every step of the day. I didn't feel like a average make-up artist was doing my make-up that day, I felt like a close friend or family member was there doing my make-up. She genuinely cared about me and wanted nothing but the best for me on my wedding day. Overall, my expericence with Katelyn and Event Cosmetics was the most enjoyable and rewarding expericences of my wedding. I am so thankful for the experience and I would recomment them to anyone I know. Thank you so much!

A class act with quality service.. I was very satisfied with all of the consultants I worked with at the Bridal Loft. Kim at Sewing Solutions transformed my borrowed dress into one that looked like it was made for no one but me - and for a very reasonable price.

Katherine and Charissa (Event Cosmetics) not only did an amazing job with hair and make up, but they did it on location at a very unconventional time and location. Their extensive on-location experience was a key factor for me and I had complete confidence they'd be there at the top of that mountain before dawn ready to go. And they were the first ones there, very much the pros I was counting on. The make up consultation was also key because I'm a makeup novice. Katherine walked me through what each product and method achieved and how event make up ( think 400 plus photos in summer sun) differs from every-day makeup. She's a great advisor and an aproachable teacher.

Andrea at August Veils transformed my sister's voluminous veil into a light, simple one that made my whole look look finished and complete, yet was easily removed if the wind kicked up. (It didn't, but with outdoor weddings you've gotta prepare.)

Lastly, Dolcie is a skilled, responsive assistant that make the coordination of it all go smoothly.

Very pleased with Event Cosmetics/Katherine Sealy. Event Cosmetics (Katherine Sealy) did the make-up for my daughter and me for her wedding. Katherine Sealy is such a dear. She listened intently on what I wanted and I was very pleased with the result. I typically use very light make-up and wanted to still look like myself at the wedding. Katherine did an wonderful job - myself only better and younger! My daughter looked beautiful and she was so happy with Katherine and Dolcie from Event Cosmetics. The bride has not stopped talking about what a wonderful time she had with them and how great she felt about her appearance. I really appreciate Katherine Sealy and her assistant Dolcie. The communication was excellent via phone calls and emails. Event Cosmetics coordinated very well with our wedding planners at Soiree. I am very pleased to recommend Katherine Sealy! Katherine is a wonderful, gracious artist!

The most wonderful make-up artist in the world!. Katherine Sealy did the make-up for my wedding in August 2007. She came highly recommended from our wedding photographer TJ Cameron. I met Katherine and her assistant at the Bravo Wedding Event at the Governor Hotel.

At the Bravo Event I booked an appointment for my complimentary consultation several months prior to the wedding. After the consultation I just knew I had to book with them! I am a definite make-up person. I am a connoisseur of fine make-up and have gone to various artists in the past. Katherine Sealy is by far the best!

Having Katherine with me on the day of my wedding was the most wonderful experience! She came to the Governor Hotel and did the make-up for my mother and me. I have truly never seen my mother look so beautiful! My mom was so happy with the way she looked too! The groom commented on how gorgeous I looked. The groomsmen all whistled when they saw me for the first time. Our guests at the wedding were all very complimentary as well.

Katherine is a not only an extremely talented artist, she is a lot of fun, very kind, and generous. She spent a lot of extra time making sure every thing was just perfect. I had the time of my life getting ready for my wedding and felt so confident in my appearance. We all had a ball in my suite the day of the wedding!

I highly recommend Katherine and her team at Event Cosmetics. Her assistance Dolcie is amazing! Katherine and Dolcie are beautiful women both on the outside and on the inside.

I'm still on cloud nine from the wedding a few weeks ago and Event Cosmetics is a huge part of my sentiments. I will never forget the generosity, talent and kindess of Katherine and Dolcie!

Thanks to Event Cosmetics my pictures and memories of the wedding day are wonderful!!! It was truly the most incredible day of my life due in large part to Katherine Sealy!

Most Friendly/Professional Bridal Service. Every time I have gone to the Bridal Loft, everyone there were extremely friendly and helpful. My wedding planning was fun to begin with; the Bridal Loft made it even more enjoyable. Bead By Alex created my jewelry (for myself and my bridesmaids) and it was PERFECT! I love the jewelry as much today as I did then. Kathy, from Event Cosmetics did an amazing job as well. She gave me her undivided attention and made me an absolute princess (I received endless compliments from friends and family). I recently received my pictures from the photographer and my makeup looked amazing. It remained flawless all evening and photographed perfectly! If only my makeup could look that perfect every day! In addition, I continue to stop in the Loft, and recently took my wedding pictures and the girls at the Loft sat down and looked at every picture I received (all 350)! The Bridal Loft ladies take sincere interested in the Brides' wedding and happiness. In addition, they encourage feedback. I would recommend this fantastic service to anyone.

Sewing solutions-5. Makeup-Zero!. Kim at Sewing Solutions did a great, efficient job altering my dress. I felt at ease in her capable hands. She also did a great job pressing my dress for me. I had no dress-related worries about my wedding day.

I did have a makeup consultation as well, and nearly ran away screaming. I brought in 3 pictures, discussed in detail exactly what I was looking for in terms of the overall look I wanted, amount of makeup I was comfortable with, and specific colors I hoped to have. I left looking like some sort of alien/drag queen/ ballroom dancer. Not even remotely close to what I was looking for. If the word "natural" involves several different types of powder, false eyelashes, and purpley sparkle lips, I'd hate to see what the "glamorous" look is. I came home to show my fiance' and I sent shivers down his spine. He asked me to take it off as I was unrecognizable. Not really the look or reaction I wanted on my wedding day.

I know the Bridal Loft boasts free makeup consultations, but this did not make up for taking a day off work for the appointment, and having to research a new place to have yet another makeup consultation. Brides, you have enough going on! Unless you are, in fact, a drag queen, avoid wasting your precious time.

Eventually, I found a great gal elsewhere who gave me a free consultation, LISTENED, did my makeup to perfection on site, and did it all very inexpensively. Brides, don't let anyone convince you that you need to look unrecognizable for your bridal pictures. You need a bit more makeup than you normally wear, but you should feel and look absolutely beautiful! You already are! Don't let anyone hide you!

Bride beware!!. I would never recommend this place. The makeup services will make you look like a drag queen; my fiancee offered to hose me down after looking at me after my trial makeup appointment! And against my better judgement, I still had them do the work on my dress because it's a different person, and ended up with a dress that didn't fit right with no time before the ceremony to have it re-altered by someone capable. I am very unhappy with the bridal loft.

Fabulous alterations, makeup and more. The Bridal Loft is a fabulous place for brides. I had a great experience working with this honest, fun group of professionals and artists. Kim at Sewing Solutions did great work fitting my gown. She was accommodating, easy to work with, and did beautiful work - even letting the dress out a pinch the week before. I loved my dress and felt beautiful in it (for the full 12 hours of our event). Charissa from Event Cosmetics (along with owner Katherine and coordinator Dolcie) did a great job with my makeup. They provided early counseling for treating my very dry, sensitive skin. Their advice was effective, without costing me a lot of money in products. I will certainly continue with the skin care routine even after my wedding. Charissa helped choose colors and makeup that made me look naturally beautiful, while adding a bit of glam and drama for my special day. My wedding makeup looked beautiful and flawless, felt comfortable, and lasted over course of the day. I highly recommend putting your wedding needs in the hands of these talented group of women.
