Do not go here!.
I went to Voodoo last night after going about 3 times. One of thier waitressess was really rude and I told her to get some manners. (We are paying customers we do deserve some respect). After walking away she approached me and after staring me down confronted me and was yelling at me. She then told me that she was going to get security to "kick me out". The security gaurd was totally cool about everything because I think he realized this unprofessional waitress was in the wrong.
Anyway, if you like being treated like a stupid kid and enjoy horrible service, this is the place to go. :)
PATIO BAR!.
I had so much fun at the voodoo lounge, last weekend.
My whole experience was a ten! the DJ was playing music from the 80's to now. Everyone was dancing from the dance floor to the table tops and even on the bar!
The whole staff was beautiful! Guys, and girls! it was like they all stepped out of a magazine! Another good thing about it was everyone wasnt just 21 there were a lot of people my age 35..
Last, but not least. I descovered , a secret bar on the patio, that not everyone knows about. I walked right up to the bar ,without waiting behind ten people to fight for a drink, and got a great drink, from a hottie! She's got a voodoo shot for only $4 that tasted so good, she had me coming back for more!
I just want to say, thank you!. I had a great time!
Unique and fantastic.
The mango-avacado crab martini app- amazing. Loved the soft shell crab dinner and the drinks were excellent.
They have a wide array of specialty "fun" drinks for groups that will have you drunk like mardee gras in no time.
Wait staff, friendly helpful and very hot.
Met the owner, chef and manager - great guys.
Check it out - hooka pipes to rent out back, great porch, and Blue and Red rooms. Going to be the next hot spot.
Great restaurant!.
Ok, I think most folks confuse this place for just an great night clud - you must eat here! The food is amazing.
The soft shell crab, the salmon and etouffe are all wonderful as per the 2 times I've been and the 3 people who have gone with us.
We told the waitress, who by the way are extemely helpful and sweet, that we loved it and they treated us great. Free prawns and chipotle corn bread - both were delicious.
You are missing out if you haven't had the food. Excellent cusine.
Not bad- but no longer original. It seems like every other place that has opened up in Portland over the last three or four years has tried to acomplish the exact same thing as the Voodoo Lounge. Granted, this place pulls it off better than Saucebox or East Chinatown. This would have been the freshest, coolest thing in PDX five years ago, but now it seems kind of stale. However, it still is a fun place with a cool crowd. How long this place lasts before the buzz fades or the Gresham crew moves in is the real question. One big plus: drinks are much cheaper than similar places and the service (although still slower than ideal) is not too shabby.
